Swollen labia

Swollen labia

The female genitals are particularly special and private, and are often not talked about easily. When there are some problems with the genitals, many women will buy some medicines privately and are embarrassed to go to the hospital for treatment. Labiaplasty is a common gynecological disease. The cause of the change is usually due to neglect of hygiene or allergies caused by stimulation from some products.

Causes of swollen labia

1. Excessively frequent sexual life or poor hygiene habits may induce labia swelling. You need to pay attention to personal hygiene and keep the vulva clean and dry, which will help recovery.

2. Symptoms of vulvar swelling will appear after menstruation, which is most likely caused by an allergy to sanitary napkins, the use of sanitary napkins with poor breathability, or an allergy to the selected brand. It is recommended to change to a sanitary napkin that is breathable, cotton-containing, and more skin-friendly.

Vagina Care

Ensure proper cleaning:

Wash your genitals every night before going to bed, but only the vulva, clitoris, labia and other parts, not including the vagina. The inside of the vagina originally maintains a balanced bacterial environment. Excessive cleaning will destroy this balance and easily promote the reproduction of bacteria and viruses. You can also use wet wipes to clean your genitals, but choose products that are mild, non-scented, and alcohol-free.

Choose the right underwear:

Good underwear provides cleanliness and loose space, and it is recommended to choose 100% cotton material. Don't choose underwear made of composite materials, as they are easy to wash but lack breathability. It is not recommended to wear thongs frequently, as this will cause more friction to the private parts and lead to bacterial growth. Change your underwear every day, and the minimum water temperature for washing underwear should be 40℃.

Don't think that douching can prevent pregnancy:

Many people mistakenly believe that cleaning the vagina after sexual intercourse can reduce the chance of pregnancy. In fact, this method not only fails to have a contraceptive effect, but it can easily lead to vaginal fungal infection and cause vaginitis.

Do not hold your urine:

When you feel the urge to urinate, you should solve it in time so as not to put pressure on the urethra. However, when you feel the urge to urinate, your vagina will become wet, which will have a negative impact on the health of your private parts.
