What are the symptoms of vulvar varicose veins?

Varicose veins in the private parts are mostly caused by obstruction of venous return or ineffective blood reflux due to heart valves, resulting in blood stasis. Varicose veins are common in young people. There is a feeling of discomfort and heaviness in the scrotum, which may be painful and involve the lower abdomen. The pain is significantly relieved after standing for a long time and then relieved after lying down. When standing, the scrotum is relaxed, the testicles are drooping, and the vermiform venous masses can be seen or touched. It becomes smaller or disappears when lying down, and is sometimes accompanied by symptoms of neurasthenia. If the symptoms are not serious, traditional observation can be performed, and scrotal support or local ice compress can be applied. If the symptoms and clinical signs are serious, surgical treatment is feasible.

When it comes to varicose veins in the private parts, the first thing we consider is that it is caused by poor venous return in some blood vessels or obstruction of the venous valves. First, you need to go to the hospital for vascular B-ultrasound or intravenous angiography to find out the location of vascular sclerosis. If the local enlargement is relatively mild, you can choose to wear elastic underwear to fix it. It usually takes three months. You can also choose oral medication for treatment, such as Maizhiling Capsules. If conservative treatment is not effective, you can choose surgery for treatment. The varicose blood vessels can be partially ligated or sealed with a curing agent.

Varicose veins are a common disease of the venous system, also known as "old leg rot". This is because of problems with the function of the venous heart valves and reduced elasticity of the vein walls, which leads to poor blood return and accumulation of blood in the veins, causing the superficial veins to expand into varicose veins. The main manifestation is that the blood vessels in the superficial part of the skin are twisted like worms, protruding from the skin, and some are in the shape of flesh lumps, and the color can change to dark blue or light blue. Most varicose veins occur in the lower limbs, including varicocele, superficial varicose veins in the abdomen, etc. Varicose veins do not cause significant pain or other discomfort in the early stages, but as venous reflux worsens, swelling and pressure in the lower limbs may occur, which is aggravated by standing for a long time and can be relieved by lying down or raising the affected side.

Long-term venous hypertension can cause changes in perivenous exudation and local thrombosis. The patient will feel pain and swelling on the affected side. In severe cases, dermatitis, eczema, and ulceration of the lower limbs may occur. The prevalence of primary venous valvular insufficiency increases with age. It is the result of the long-term effect of blood on the heart valves. About 20% of pregnant women will develop varicose veins during pregnancy. The change in estrogen levels during pregnancy causes the venous smooth muscle to relax, resulting in valvular insufficiency. In addition, the enlarged uterus will compress the inferior vena cava, causing blood flow obstruction.
