The dangers of female sterilization

Sterilization surgery has become increasingly popular in recent years because it can bring many benefits to the human body, but it also has certain hazards. It is particularly prone to cause serious damage to certain functions of the female body. However, many people do not know the hazards of female sterilization surgery, or have never understood them. So what are the hazards of female sterilization surgery?

Menstrual changes are likely to occur. Menstrual changes may be related to the patient's preoperative physiological condition, such as postpartum, postabortion, older age (35-40 years old), surgical method, etc. It manifests as irregular menstruation or excessive menstruation. If you have such a problem, you must adjust it to normal as soon as possible.

Bleeding. Bleeding is mostly caused by incomplete hemostasis during surgery, failure to detect it in time, or failure to detect abnormal coagulation function of the patient before surgery.

Pelvic pain. Pelvic infection after surgery, incomplete treatment leading to chronic pelvic inflammatory disease or pre-operative pelvic inflammatory disease.

Infect. According to the location, it can be divided into two categories: abdominal wall incision infection and pelvic infection. In the early stages of abdominal wall incision infection, local redness, swelling, heat and pain appear, which may be accompanied by fever. There is purulent secretion from the wound, and a mass with unclear boundaries can be felt on the abdominal wall.

Emotional disorders are common after surgery. The patient is nervous and anxious, easily irritable and often loses temper, and suffers from memory loss. There is a pessimistic and melancholic mood, manifested as depressed thoughts, silence, low mood, accompanied by poor appetite, weight loss, decreased libido, increased heart rate and other symptoms.

Sex life is affected. The main symptoms are decreased libido and unwillingness to engage in sexual intercourse.

Cause endocrine disorders. During the ligation operation, some blood vessels entering the ovaries may be damaged, and the hormones from the pituitary gland that stimulate the ovaries may be reduced. As a result, the ovaries will not work normally, which can easily cause endocrine disorders.

Gynecological diseases. Some statistics indicate that the chances of needing a hysterectomy due to gynecological problems after a sterilization surgery are higher than for the general population.

In short, female sterilization does have a certain impact on women's physical and mental health, but not all women will have such problems, and the symptoms of most women are not obvious. In fact, whether a couple should undergo sterilization depends on their personal wishes and their physical tolerance. Life safety should be the top priority in everything.
