There is always a peculiar smell in the lower body

Under normal circumstances, our bodies have a relatively natural body odor. Since everyone's living habits and eating habits are different, everyone's body odor is different. Under normal circumstances, a girl's genitals will not have any odor. If a girl's genitals always have an odor, many times it is the smell of leucorrhea. In this case, it is best for the girl to go to the hospital to check the cause of the odor.

1. Foul smell:

If the leucorrhea emits a foul odor, women must be more vigilant, because this may be related to serious infection or tumor of the reproductive tract. Malignant tumors of the reproductive tract, severe endometritis, and severe cervical erosion can all cause foul-smelling leucorrhea. If elderly women have foul-smelling leucorrhea that is bright red in color, this is often a sign of a malignant tumor.

2. Fishy smell:

The vaginal discharge of patients with vaginitis caused by Haemophilus vaginalis often has a special fishy smell. Patients also experience symptoms such as vaginal burning, pain, itching, and vulvar wetness.

3. Fishy smell:

Some patients with vaginitis caused by anaerobic bacteria infection, Trichomonas infection or Haemophilus vaginalis infection often have a fishy odor in their leucorrhea.

Symptoms of abnormal vaginal discharge

1. Yellow watery leucorrhea: If a large amount of purulent and foul-smelling leucorrhea flows out of the vagina, advanced cervical cancer, endometrial cancer or submucosal fibroids with infection should be considered first. Those with paroxysmal discharge should be aware of the possibility of fallopian tube cancer.

2. Purulent leucorrhea: The leucorrhea is yellow or yellow-green, sticky or foamy, and has a foul odor. It is mostly caused by vaginal inflammation, among which Trichomonas vaginitis is the most common, and is often accompanied by vulvar itching.

3. Cheese-like or tofu-like leucorrhea: These are typical symptoms of candidal vaginitis, often accompanied by severe vulvar itching.

4. Bloody leucorrhea: If there is blood mixed in the leucorrhea, you should be alert to the possibility of malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and endometrial cancer.

5. Urinary dysfunction with increased leucorrhea: In typical gonococcal infection, leucorrhea is like urethral secretions, with increased amount, yellow purulent, and showing signs of intense inflammatory reaction.

Causes of abnormal vaginal discharge

1. Use a lot of cleaning fluid

If women frequently flush their vagina, especially with a vaginal wash, the number of lactobacilli will decrease, which will disrupt the microecological balance in the vagina and cause dysbacteriosis. Because the female vagina has a self-cleaning function, the female vaginal epithelial cells are rich in glycogen. The vagina of normal women is parasitic with a kind of bacteria called vaginal lactobacillus, which can break down these glycogen into monosaccharides and then into lactic acid, making the vaginal environment acidic and maintaining the pH value at 4-5. Those pathogens that grow well in alkaline environments will be inhibited, which is the self-cleaning function of the vagina.

2. Long-term use of sanitary pads

Long-term use of sanitary pads, which are not breathable, often keeps the vulva in a moist state due to excessive vaginal discharge, which has a certain irritation to the local skin. It destroys the balance of the vagina and easily causes infection.

3. Not paying attention to hygiene and not changing underwear frequently

Women should change their underwear once a day, pay attention to personal hygiene, and it is best to put the changed underwear in the sun to dry. Increased leucorrhea If abnormal leucorrhea is not treated in time and not eradicated, serious sequelae will occur, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis and other gynecological inflammations, severe cases may lead to terminal illnesses such as vaginal cancer, uterine cancer, cervical cancer, etc. Many middle-aged women who get cancer are caused by not paying attention to abnormal leucorrhea when they were young. Moreover, if there is too little leucorrhea for a long time, the vagina's self-defense function will be weakened, making women more susceptible to vaginitis.
