Is there fetal movement at 3 and a half months of pregnancy?

Signs of fetal movement are also an important proof of the baby's healthy growth in the belly. However, under normal circumstances, signs of fetal movement will only appear when the baby's body grows to a certain extent, so signs of fetal movement will gradually appear around 4 months of pregnancy. During the baby's fetal movement, mom and dad can also communicate with the baby by touching their belly, but are there any symptoms of fetal movement in three and a half months of pregnancy?

Is there fetal movement in 3 months of pregnancy?

Generally speaking, you won’t feel fetal movement during the third month of pregnancy. Because the fetus is so small, there is enough space in the uterus. Especially for first-time mothers, the abdominal wall is relatively tight and usually it cannot be felt until the 20th week of pregnancy. The abdominal wall of multiparous women is relaxed, and fetal movement can be felt as early as 16 weeks of pregnancy. The fetus begins to move from about the 8th week, and the spine also begins to make subtle movements.

The mother cannot perceive the fetal movement at this time. From the end of the 16th week, which is the fourth month, the fetus's fully developed limbs will begin to move actively. The mother can usually feel the fetal movement at this time, but some people may still not know what it feels like. The fetus's punching, kicking, turning and other movements can not only be felt but also seen.

As the fetus grows, fetal movements are most noticeable between 28 and 32 weeks. After 32 weeks, the fetus gradually occupies the space in the uterus and its movement is significantly restricted. Although restrained, the fetus will occasionally deliver a powerful blow.

When the baby's head hits the muscles of the pelvic floor, you will feel a sudden blow. In addition to exercising and coordinating growing muscles, the fetus may move for other reasons. For example, the fetus may be changing position or moving because the way you sit or stand is uncomfortable for the fetus.
