Symptoms of genital warts in women

Genital warts are a superficial skin disease caused by a virus. Genital warts mostly occur in the private parts of men or women because genital warts are a disease caused by moisture and unsanitary conditions. Genital warts have a certain incubation period. During this incubation period, people will not find any abnormalities, so there is no defense against it. Let’s take a look at the symptoms of genital warts for women.

Female genital warts are epithelial proliferative lesions caused by human papillomavirus infection and are one of the important sexually transmitted diseases. Warm and moist vulvar skin and mucous membranes are conducive to their growth and reproduction, forming vulvar or vaginal condyloma acuminatum. However, not all vulvar growths are genital warts. The average incubation period of genital warts in women is 2 to 3 months. The development of the lesions is not self-limiting. Symptoms include local itching and pain. A small number of patients are asymptomatic. Growth sites: vulva, vagina, cervix, and perianal area. It is common for two sites to occur at the same time. Local manifestations include small reddish or gray papules, which are wart-like protrusions and often fuse to form cauliflower-like growths. There is a history of sexual promiscuity. The lesions turn white after application of 5% acetic acid.

The incubation period of pseudocondyloma is 3 days to 3 weeks. It is self-limited and generally asymptomatic. Some cases have local itching. It is often symmetrically distributed on the labia minora on both sides. It is rare for two parts to occur at the same time. The lesions are small caviar or pearl-like papules. Some are polyp-like or villous. They do not fuse. There is no history of promiscuity. They do not turn white after applying 5% acetic acid. The cause of the disease is still unclear, but some believe it is related to glucocorticoids, fungal infections or other chronic irritations.

Female patients are greatly harmed by genital warts. When genital warts occur on the vulva of women, the most typical symptom is that there are very few soft and tiny pink papules in the early stage of the disease. Then, as the disease progresses, they will further increase in number and size, and the papules will merge or overlap with each other. The surface looks very uneven, like a wart. Because some areas are very humid and hot and have chronic irritation, the warts will grow rapidly and eventually become shapes of different sizes, such as nipple-shaped, cauliflower-shaped, cockscomb-shaped or mushroom-shaped. These warts are very soft and will bleed easily when touched.

During the onset of genital warts, some patients produce white, dirty or red secretions that soak into the surface of the warts, causing great inconvenience to the lives of female patients. The root of the wart is very narrow and has a stalk. The surface is also very moist, and there is often exudation, erosion, and skin damage. At the same time, there are very purulent secretions pushed inside the cracks, so bacterial infection is very likely to occur, and there is also a very strong foul odor. The symptoms women feel are that the affected area is very itchy, with a burning sensation or a feeling of pressure.

diagnosis

1. Typical skin lesions are papules, nipple-shaped, cauliflower-shaped or cockscomb-shaped fleshy growths with rough and keratinized surfaces in moist areas such as the genitals or perianal area.

2. The acetic acid white test is positive, and in vivo examination shows a similar erosion pattern, which is bright red to brown in the middle and gradually fades in color around it.

3. Nucleic acid hybridization can detect HPV-DNA related sequences, and PCR detection can detect specific HPV-DNA amplification bands.

4. Most patients have a history of unclean sexual life or a history of infection in their spouse. A few cases of genital warts are infected through contact with contaminated utensils, and newborns can also be infected through the birth canal. The incubation period ranges from 1 to 8 months, with an average of 3 months.

5. Genital warts: Information about virus infection can be obtained by testing serum antibodies in the blood. Through the advanced virus detection system, serum can be quickly tested to detect three items, namely "virus antibodies, virus type, and virus quantity."
