Why do I not have my period after taking progesterone tablets?

Menstruation is the most common physiological phenomenon that occurs in women. Normal menstruation is a reflection of physical and mental health. If there is irregular menstruation or amenorrhea, it is usually a reflection that the body has abnormalities or has a disease. Therefore, if you find that you have amenorrhea, you must carry out timely treatment and conditioning to promote normal menstruation. The following will explain in detail why you do not have menstruation after taking progesterone tablets.

If you do not have your period after taking luteal copper, you may need to consider abnormalities in endometrial thickness and ovarian abnormalities. You can do B-ultrasound of the uterine adnexa and six sex hormone tests to determine the actual cause, and take appropriate medication based on the test results. Taking progesterone to induce menstruation usually causes withdrawal bleeding within one week after stopping the medication. If you have had unprotected sexual intercourse, you should also have a blood test for human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) to eliminate the possibility of pregnancy. There are many factors that affect the menstrual period, such as long-term irregular work and rest, anxious mentality, malnutrition, environmental damage, anxiety, excessive fasting to lose weight, and medications. It is best to take the medicine according to the doctor's instructions after diagnosis. It is not recommended to take the medicine blindly.

The corpus luteum belongs to estrogen and is usually produced after ovulation. The effect of estrogen on the uterine wall is based on the action of estrogen. For the uterine wall, estrogen promotes the proliferation and thickening of the endometrium, which is called the proliferative uterine wall. Estrogen is lutein copper, which causes metabolic changes in the uterine wall based on the action of estrogen, which is called metabolic uterine wall. After stopping the use of lutein copper, the uterine wall loses the function of growth hormone and bleeding occurs, which is called menarche.

If you stop taking the progesterone copper pills for 3-7 days and still do not have your period, the reasons may be: 1. Estrogen is too low and the uterine wall cannot undergo proliferative changes. The endometrium is too thin and even if you use copper corpus luteum, you will not have your period. 2. There may be intrauterine adhesions, which may hinder the growth and development of the uterine wall. After intrauterine operation, intrauterine adhesions occur and the uterine wall cannot grow normally. Even the use of estrogen will not cause the uterine wall to fall off and bleed. 3. Possible pregnancy, the uterine wall is relatively thick, and the corpus luteum copper is not used immediately in the early stages of pregnancy. Menstruation does not occur after stopping the medication. 4. If the dosage of corpus luteum copper is not reliable or the dosage is too little, it cannot cause metabolic changes in the uterine wall and will not cause menstruation. Therefore, before using corpus luteum copper, do relevant examinations and take the medicine under the guidance of a professional doctor.
