Dark yellow discharge

We can first understand them and then make a judgment based on our other symptoms. If we are not sure or there are other influences, it is best to go to the hospital for examination and diagnosis as soon as possible. Let’s take a look at the causes of dark yellow discharge.

What is the reason for yellow discharge on underwear?

1. Inflammatory

Vaginitis, cervicitis, endometritis, pelvic inflammatory disease, pelvic effusion, gonorrhea, condyloma acuminatum, genital herpes, etc. can all cause yellow leucorrhea and abnormal leucorrhea.

2. Caused by tumor diseases

Such as uterine fibroids, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, vaginal cancer, pelvic tumors, fallopian tube and ovarian tumors, etc.

3. Caused by foreign matter

For example, if an IUD is placed in the uterus, a pessary is placed in the vagina, or foreign objects are left in the vagina after delivery or surgery, or foreign objects accidentally enter the vagina, they can all irritate the vagina or cause inflammation, leading to a large amount of yellow purulent leucorrhea with a fishy smell, or even blood in the leucorrhea.

4. Endocrine causes

Ovarian dysfunction and insufficient secretion of sex hormones can cause too little vaginal discharge and vaginal dryness; taking estrogen drugs can cause the vaginal discharge to be sticky and profuse.

5. Others

Vesicovaginal fistula and rectovaginal fistula are caused by excrement irritating the vagina, resulting in increased vaginal discharge.

A highly retroflexed uterus, chronic systemic diseases such as heart failure, diabetes, anemia, tuberculosis, and mental stimulation can all cause the leucorrhea to turn yellow.

How to treat yellow discharge on underwear?

1. Change the pH of the vagina

The most suitable pH value for the growth of Candida is 5.5. The weakly acidic environment of the vagina can maintain the self-cleaning function of the vagina. The normal pH is 3.7-4.5. Therefore, it is advisable to use a weak acid formula feminine care solution with a pH ≤ 4.

In addition to being suitable for daily cleaning and maintenance, using a weak acid formula feminine care solution during treatment can inhibit the growth and reproduction of mold.

When going to the toilet, wipe the vulva with feminine hygiene wipes and keep it dry to inhibit the growth of Candida.
