What should I do if I have a solid breast nodule of grade 3?

Grade 3 solid breast nodules are a common disease, which is mostly caused by endocrine disorders. In addition, psychological stress, emotional instability, and excessive liver fire can also cause this disease. Grade 3 solid breast nodule is not a particularly serious disease. Surgery is generally not recommended. Pay more attention to observation and develop good living habits, especially don't get angry.

1. Causes of Grade III Solid Breast Nodules

Grade 3 solid breast nodules are caused by endocrine disorders or imbalance in estrogen secretion in the body. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that it is caused by irritability, anger, worry, great mental pressure, sentimentality, excessive liver fire, and stagnation of liver and spleen qi. This does not contradict Western medicine. Excessive liver fire will inevitably affect endocrine system, etc.

Experts say that breast nodules are cystic breast hyperplasia, a non-tumor disease. Common in women of childbearing age, spontaneous remission after menopause.

2. Four types of solid breast nodules

1. Mastodynia (pain before and during menstruation during puberty, no lumps, disappears after menstruation).

2. Lobular hyperplasia (20-35 years old, premenstrual pain, accompanied by multiple nodules. Relieved after menstruation). Xiaoyao Pills for treatment.

3. Fibroadenoma or papilloma (single mass, clear border, large movement, no pain, adhesion). Xiaoyaosan 3-9g, 3 times a day, regular review. Surgical removal if necessary.

4. Fibrocystic hyperplasia or sclerotic mastopathy (after the age of 30, multiple small nodules, in patches, tough texture, unclear boundaries, often bilateral, mild tenderness. Related to the menstrual cycle).

III. Treatment of Grade III Solid Breast Nodules

Since there is no clear understanding of the mechanism and cause of breast nodules, the current treatment of breast nodules is basically symptomatic treatment. Some patients may experience spontaneous remission several months to 1 to 2 years after onset and usually do not require treatment. Patients with more obvious symptoms and more extensive lesions can use a bra to support their breasts.

In addition, there is hormone therapy. Some people use androgens to treat breast nodules to inhibit the effects of estrogen, soften nodules, and relieve symptoms; but this treatment may aggravate the imbalance of hormones in the human body and is not suitable for routine use. It should only be considered when the symptoms are severe and affect normal work and life.

Regarding what to do about solid breast nodules, breast disease treatment experts say that during the follow-up observation of patients with breast nodules, if a lump is found that grows rapidly or becomes hard in a short period of time, the possibility of cancer should be highly suspected, and a biopsy or simple mastectomy should be performed if necessary. If cancer cells are found in frozen sections during surgery, the patient should be treated as having breast cancer.
