Female rib pain

Female rib pain

Many women experience a feeling of distension and pain in the ribs, as if their internal organs are expanding outward, exerting pressure on the ribs and causing distension and pain in the ribs. What causes this? There are many reasons for women's rib pain, which may be caused by a stitch in the side, eating too much, or certain diseases, such as stomach disease, digestive tract disease, liver and gallbladder disease, cold or costal neuritis, etc. Therefore, women should be carefully observed after experiencing rib pain. If the pain is relieved after a while or by changing posture, there is basically no problem. However, if the pain is not relieved for a long time or the condition worsens, you should seek medical attention in time.

1. Stomach disease

Diseases such as chronic gastritis, superficial gastritis, and gastric ulcer can cause a feeling of distension and pain in the ribs. Especially after eating, as the stomach moves, stomach diseases will occur, giving people a feeling of bloating and pain in the ribs.

2. Side stitch

After exercise, or maintaining a posture for a long time, such as sitting or lying for a long time, suddenly changing posture can cause stitches in the side, which can cause swelling and pain in the ribs. All you need to do is slow down your movements and breathe steadily, and you will feel better in a few minutes.

3. Overeating

Eating too much and exceeding the body's capacity can also cause bloating and pain in the ribs. This is similar to the cause of stomach problems, both of which are caused by excessive burden on the stomach.

4. Cold

When you have a cold, due to the poor respiratory system, you will feel a feeling of chest compression, which will cause swelling and pain in the ribs. This is especially true for patients with a cold who also have a cough. The cough causes the lungs to vibrate, which will cause muscle soreness around the ribs.

5. Depression, anger, etc.

Mental problems such as depression and anger can put a burden on the body, sometimes causing chest tightness, shortness of breath, and pain in the ribs.

6. Hepatobiliary diseases

It could also be gastritis or peptic ulcer. It is best to do a gastroscopy to clarify, and an abdominal B-ultrasound to check the liver and gallbladder.

7. Overwork

Of course, rib pain may have other reasons, such as fatigue, physical condition, weather, etc. It is recommended to rest on time, avoid fatigue, keep warm, and check electrocardiogram, X-ray, etc. if necessary.

8. Rib neuritis

Pain and swelling in women's ribs may be caused by costal neuritis. If you encounter this situation, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis in time and choose the best time to carry out anti-inflammatory treatment.
