The benefits of female rings

In our country, many women choose to use IUDs as a contraceptive method to avoid pregnancy after giving birth to their first child. Because the contraceptive device is placed in the uterus, women's bodies will experience a lot of discomfort when they first wear the IUD. Moreover, if the contraceptive device is not disinfected properly during the birth control period, it may also cause other gynecological diseases. Many women do not like to wear IUDs, so the editor below will introduce to you the benefits of women wearing IUDs.

Bleeding: Most women will experience a small amount of bleeding 3-4 days after wearing the IUD. Generally, no treatment is required and the bleeding will heal within a week after wearing the IUD.

Increased menstrual flow: In the early stages of wearing the IUD, especially in the first three months, some women will experience an increase in menstrual flow to varying degrees, prolonged menstrual periods, or irregular spotting. Generally, it will get better naturally after three months. If the menstrual volume increases by 1-2 times compared to before the ring is inserted, or the irregular bleeding lasts for a long time, anemia may have occurred and you should seek medical attention immediately.

Lower abdominal pain or back pain: After wearing the ring, a few women will experience mild lower abdominal pain or back pain. After a short period of adaptation, the symptoms will disappear on their own. If severe pain occurs in the lower abdomen, it may be due to intrauterine and pelvic infection, displacement or incarceration of the contraceptive ring, ectopic pregnancy, etc. You should go to the hospital for detailed examination and treatment as soon as possible.

Increased vaginal discharge: If you wear a contraceptive ring with a tail thread, the long-term contact and friction of the tail thread on the cervical membrane may cause a significant increase in cervical secretions, that is, increased vaginal discharge. Similarly, an IUD without a tail thread can act as a foreign body, irritating the endometrium and causing increased secretions. After a period of time, when the endometrial tissue has fully adapted, the amount of leucorrhea will naturally decrease. If shortly after wearing the ring, not only does the amount of vaginal discharge increase significantly, but also yellow purulent discharge appears, and is accompanied by fever, lower abdominal pain and other discomforts, it is very likely that an infection has occurred and you need to seek medical attention immediately.

Infection: A small number of people have developed infection. The reasons are mostly due to failure to pay attention to cleanliness after the placement of the IUD, or a history of genital tract inflammation, or premature sexual intercourse, frequent sexual life, and many sexual partners after the placement of the IUD. Infection can usually be effectively controlled after antibiotic treatment.

So, under what circumstances should you consider removing the IUD? 1. Irregular menstruation for several consecutive months after wearing the IUD, or frequent irregular vaginal bleeding, or menstrual volume is more than 1 times more than before, and drug treatment is ineffective; severe dysmenorrhea or back pain, abdominal pain, and treatment is ineffective; 2. Uterine infection caused by wearing the IUD; 3. Pregnancy or ectopic pregnancy while wearing the IUD, the IUD can be replaced or removed at the same time as the artificial abortion; 4. During a gynecological examination, it is found that the IUD is deformed or ectopic.
