What is the reason for nipple pain?

Breasts, as a major symbol of femininity, can actually bring women a lot of trouble in life. Middle-aged women, in particular, are often diagnosed with breast diseases. Therefore, women must learn to protect their breasts in daily life to avoid breast diseases. So, why do many women say that their nipples are painful? In fact, this situation is mostly related to the secretion of estrogen in the body.

Adolescent girls (age 9-13 years old) will experience slight swelling and pain in their nipples during their breast development period. The symptoms will gradually disappear with the onset of menarche. Don't be nervous, relax and accept the changes in your body. Of course, in order to ensure the good development of breasts, you should choose a suitable sports bra.

Premenstrual breast pain is a common problem for many women. Before menstruation, the body's estrogen secretion surges, causing the breasts to swell and ache, and the nipples will also feel pain. What's worse, even light touch, vibration, or friction can cause pain. These symptoms will continue until the end of menstruation and then gradually disappear. Before menstruation, you should learn to relax and be in a good mood. You can massage your breasts and nipples appropriately to relieve pain.

Due to changes in estrogen in pregnant women, breast hyperplasia, breast swelling and nipple pain occur. As the pregnancy progresses, the symptoms become more obvious and you may find that your bra sizes are several sizes larger. You cannot receive any treatment or take any medicine during pregnancy, but applying hot compress with a towel can effectively relieve the symptoms of nipple pain, and you will feel very relaxed after the application.

In other cases, nipple pain may be pathological. If nipple pain occurs at times other than before menstruation and during menstruation, it may be breast hyperplasia, papilloma, breast cancer, etc., and you should seek medical attention in time. You can also do a self-check. Method: Raise one hand, and use the other hand to press circles around the breast on the side where the hand is raised, starting from the edge, to feel for lumps.

Pay attention to breast cleanliness, change and wash underwear frequently, and replace new underwear regularly to ensure breast health.
