How long will the pain last after seeing red?

Bloody sight in late pregnancy refers to the discharge of bloody mucus from the vagina, which is a sign of delivery. It is followed by irregular contractions, and these symptoms become more and more obvious as the pregnancy progresses. Spotting occurs in the late pregnancy. Knowing when this condition occurs will help us respond in a timely manner according to our own situation. So, how long will the pain last after spotting?

The discharge of mucus containing blood from the vagina is called "red show". Generally, you should go to the hospital for examination within a few hours after seeing blood. But sometimes you still have to wait 1-2 days after seeing blood, and sometimes it takes several days before regular uterine contractions begin to appear. However, there are also cases where spotting occurs repeatedly a few days or even a week before delivery. Many women believe that they will have contractions immediately after they see blood. Because of the mental tension, they focus their attention completely on this, which leads to insomnia. The physical fatigue caused by lack of sleep will lead to decreased physical strength and lack of energy, which is very unfavorable for childbirth. Keep a good mood, wait actively and patiently, eat normally, ensure sleep, and maintain physical strength.

Generally speaking, labor pains will begin within 24 hours after the onset of bleeding, and the delivery stage will begin. But the reality is that many people give birth a few days or even a week after spotting. There are great individual differences, so the key is to observe its shape, color, quantity, etc. after seeing the red and then make a judgment.

If a pregnant woman is about to give birth and has irregular uterine contractions, she should promptly notice these signs, especially if she finds that her shorts near the vaginal opening feel damp and uncomfortable. She should immediately check whether there is any bloody secretion on her shorts. If so, you should go to the obstetrics and gynecology hospital immediately to prevent any accidents.

Signs before childbirth

1. Uterine fundus descent: The enlarged uterus begins to descend, reducing the pressure on the diaphragm. Pregnant women will feel that breathing difficulties are relieved, the pressure on the stomach disappears, and their appetite increases.

2. Abdominal pain and back pain: The descending fetal head increases the pressure on the pelvis, and the feeling of abdominal pain and back pain will become more and more obvious.

3. Increased frequency of defecation and urination: The descent of the fetus compresses the bladder and rectum, causing the patient to feel the urge to urinate after urinating and not feel comfortable after defecation.

4. The amount of secretions discharged from the cervix and vagina increases.

5. Fetal movement decreases: Fetal movement is not so obvious at this time. Don’t feel uneasy about it. This is because the fetal position is relatively fixed. However, if you still don't feel fetal movement for 12 hours, you should see a doctor immediately.

6. Weight gain stops: Sometimes there is even weight loss, which indicates that the fetus has matured.

7. Frequent and irregular uterine contractions: also known as false labor. Starting from the 28th week of pregnancy, false contractions will often occur in the abdomen. If a pregnant woman stands or sits in the same posture for a long time, she will feel her abdomen hardening from time to time. This is called false labor, which is characterized by irregular timing and varying degrees of intensity. Before delivery, false labor will become more and more frequent due to the traction stimulation of the lower uterine segment caused by the descending fetal head.
