What causes breast pain?

What causes breast pain?

I believe many female friends have experienced a needle-like pricking pain in the breast. Some people will panic, always thinking that they have some serious breast disease, while others will not take it seriously, thinking that it is not a big deal and there is no need to make a fuss, which ends up delaying the treatment. Some people are too shy to go to the hospital for check-up, thus missing out on the best time for treatment. So what exactly is causing breast pain?

1. What diseases can cause breast pain?

1. If breast pain is paroxysmal and often starts before menstruation or worsens before menstruation, and can be relieved or disappear after menstruation, it is mostly premenstrual tension syndrome and generally does not require treatment. If the pain is distending or stabbing, sometimes involving the ipsilateral armpit or shoulder and back, and there is mild to moderate tenderness locally, it is considered to be a proliferative lesion.

2. Generally speaking, if there is sudden, persistent, and severe pain in the breast accompanied by obvious tenderness, it is considered to be various acute infectious diseases of the breast; if there is local throbbing pain, it may be that the local area has become suppurative.

3. If the nipples are severely painful, broken or cracked during breastfeeding, it may be caused by the baby sucking and biting the nipples, resulting in nipple fissures. If the breast pain is only mild dull pain or aching pain, the onset has no obvious regularity, and is only sporadic or paroxysmal, and some are persistent, it is often ignored because the pain is not obvious. It should be noted that such breast pain may also be a signal of early breast malignant disease and should be given sufficient attention.

4. Sometimes, there is no obvious pain in the breast, but only pain in one armpit or shoulder and back, which may be a malignant lesion. These subtle changes should not be easily ignored. If there is severe, persistent, burning pain in the breast that progressively worsens and is difficult to relieve on its own, and is accompanied by ulceration and necrosis of the local mass or ulceration of the surgical wound and surrounding skin, it is breast pain in the late stage of malignant disease. At this time, because the symptoms and signs of other malignant diseases are already very clear, it is not difficult to find the cause of the pain.

5. Some women experience breast pain when their breasts are swollen. This is a physiological condition and should be distinguished from breast pain caused by disease. 2. Guidance 1. You can stretch your arms upwards and feel the breasts to see if there are any lumps and whether they are of the same size. Observe any changes before and after the menstrual period. If there are any lumps and they persist after the menstrual period, it is breast hyperplasia and you are advised to go to the hospital for a breast examination. Of course, a very important point is to relax, relieve stress, combine work and rest, and try to maintain a good attitude. 2. Eat more whole grains, black soybeans, walnuts, black sesame seeds, black fungus, etc. on a daily basis; eat less fried foods, animal fats, and sweets. 3. Since 2% to 3% of patients may develop malignant transformation, it is best to go to the hospital for a color Doppler ultrasound examination every 3 to 6 months to avoid delaying treatment.

2. Precautions

Breast changes, even mild breast pain, should be taken seriously, because breast pain may be a symptom of many breast diseases or even a sign of breast malignancy.
