Gynecological leucorrhea examination hydrogen peroxide

Routine examination of leucorrhea is a common gynecological examination. It is based on five tests, including vaginal pH value, leucorrhea cleanliness, vaginal microbial species examination, to determine whether a woman has abnormal leucorrhea. It is an examination related to women's physical health. When a woman suffers from gynecological inflammation, she can check whether there is any abnormality in the leucorrhea with hydrogen peroxide.

Gynecological hydrogen peroxide is a new item in the routine examination of leucorrhea, mainly to understand whether the microecological environment of the female vagina is normal.

What does a positive result of hydrogen peroxide in gynecology mean?

Under normal circumstances, the squamous epithelial cells in a woman's vagina will release glycogen after they fall off. Thanks to the function of lactobacilli, these glycogen are converted into lactobacilli, which keeps the pH value in the vagina between 3.8 and 4.5, allowing intestinal probiotics (Lactobacillus) to grow. This intestinal probiotic can produce a natural barrier to protect against the invasion of microorganisms. This is also the reason why women have nitrogen cycle in their vagina.

The concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the female vagina is related to the number of lactobacilli. There is only a small amount of hydrogen peroxide in a normal environment. When the hydrogen peroxide test in leucorrhea is positive, it means that the diversity of microorganisms in the female vagina is destroyed, which will cause other pathogenic microorganisms or conditional pathogens in the female vagina to become actual pathogens. This is also one of the main reasons why female genital tract infections are prone to occur and difficult to heal.

What should I do if the hydrogen peroxide test results are positive for leucorrhea in gynecology?

Abnormal secretion of hydrogen peroxide indicates that the microbial environment in the vagina is abnormal. When there is abnormality in the secretion of hydrogen peroxide, itching, odor and other symptoms will appear in the vagina, and the possibility of inflammation is high. Therefore, by understanding the abnormalities of hydrogen peroxide secretions, we can better understand whether the vaginal environment is healthy.
