What are the contraindications of gynecological Chinese medicine enema

Chinese medicine enema is actually a relatively unique treatment method. It mainly causes a systemic therapeutic effect through absorption through the intestinal wall. However, you should also understand the treatment method and various issues, such as the time of enema, the choice of sterile operation, the temperature of the enema solution, etc. There are many considerations. Only by paying attention to these issues can you achieve better results.

1. Preliminary preparation

1. Boil 150ml to 250ml of Chinese medicine for later use.

2. An enema set and a little paraffin oil or lubricating oil.

3. Empty your bowels and bladder before enema to relieve abdominal pressure and clean the intestines.

2. Operation method

1. It is best to put a sheet on the bed after emptying your bowels and bladder before going to bed every night to prevent the medicine from flowing onto the bed.

2. Turn off the switch of the enema device, put the medicine of suitable temperature into the medicine bag, connect the rectal tube to the enema device, and turn on the switch. Expel all the gas (see the medicine flowing out), then turn off the switch.

3. Lie on your side with your buttocks close to the edge of the bed. Apply a small amount of lubricant to the end and slowly insert it 15 to 20 cm from the anus to the rectum. Turn on the switch (the flow rate can be adjusted) and slowly drip the medicine. The temperature of the medicine solution should be between 38℃ and 40℃, the pressure should be low, and the liquid level should not be more than 30 cm away from the anus. After the infusion, try to rest in bed.

4. The medicine will be better absorbed if you go to the toilet the next morning. It is best to apply hot compress after enema to increase the temperature of the abdomen so that the medicine can be absorbed faster and relieve discomfort.

3. Notes

1. Strictly follow aseptic operation. The continuous use of the infusion tube for enema should be within 7 days. It is best to change it each time. After one enema, the catheter (or small anal tube) can be soaked in chlorine-containing disinfectant for 30 minutes, then cleaned and dried for later use, or boiled for 30 minutes and dried for later use.

2. Choice of enema time. It should be done before going to bed, after emptying the bowels and bladder, and with the intestines retained for more than 4 hours. Once a day is appropriate, and a few patients can take it twice a day.

3. Enema fluid temperature. The temperature of the enema solution should be between 38 and 40 degrees. It needs to be heated in winter. The patient should test it with the heel of his palm to make sure it is not hot to avoid the cold stimulating intestinal peristalsis and affecting the retention time of the drug.
