What is intraductal mammary disease?

Women's mammary ducts are very important, but due to various reasons, mammary ducts often have problems, such as blockage, mammary duct inflammation, and some people even have mammary duct lesions. At this time, the patient will feel breast pain, sometimes severe tingling. So what disease causes this result?

There are four major hazards that you should be aware of when it comes to breast ductal lesions:

Dangers of intraductal breast disease: breast pain

Women experience unilateral or bilateral breast tenderness, tingling, and severe pain that cannot be touched. The breasts swell rapidly and may radiate to the armpits, chest, shoulders, back and upper limbs. The pain worsens before menstruation or when you are angry or depressed. The pain is significantly reduced or disappears after menstruation. Some cases may present as nipple pain or itching, and the pain may fluctuate with mood and menstrual cycle. There may also be abnormal lumps, 3 to 4 cm in size.

Dangers of intraductal breast lesions: breast cysts

Breast cysts are caused by factors such as poor breast structure and inflammation, which may induce the shedding of epithelial cells in the mammary lobe or lobule ducts or other substances blocking the ducts, resulting in poor milk discharge from the lobes. The milk accumulates in the breasts, causing the ducts to expand and form cysts. This disease is a benign lesion of the breast, which often occurs in the center of the breast, around the nipple, especially above the nipple. Common diseases are breast inflammation and a history of breast trauma, which lead to obstruction of the large duct opening.

Dangers of intraductal lesions: breast fibroids

Intraductal lesions of the mammary gland can cause breast fibroids, which are more common in young women and are a common type of tumor disease. It is related to excessive estrogen in the body and can occur in one or both breasts, usually unilaterally. The lump is oval or round, with a smooth surface and a medium hard texture. It is clearly demarcated from the surrounding tissues and has no adhesion to the skin, and the lump can be easily pushed away. The best option is surgical treatment, but only a few people can accept this method, mainly because although the surgery removes the local tumor, the endocrine disorder in the body is not corrected, it is easy to relapse, and it will leave scars on the breast.

Dangers of intraductal lesions: breast cancer

Intraductal lesions can also cause breast malignancies, and breast lumps are the most common typical manifestation of breast cancer. Retracted nipple; nipple itching, desquamation, erosion, ulceration, etc. "Dimples" and "orange peel" are common manifestations of breast cancer on the skin and contours.
