Why do my nipples hurt after having sex during ovulation? Am I pregnant?

For couples who are eager to have a baby, they pay great attention to the ovulation period. We all know that the ovulation period is the time when women are most likely to conceive. If you can increase your sexual life appropriately at this time, the chance of pregnancy will increase a lot. Some women experience nipple pain after having sex during ovulation. So, what causes this? Does it mean pregnancy?

Why do nipples hurt after having sex during ovulation?

Nipple pain is considered to be caused by inflammation. Oral anti-inflammatory drugs are recommended. Nipple pain may also be caused by sebaceous cysts or sebaceous adenitis, or breast hyperplasia. It is recommended to go to the breast department of a regular hospital for examination. You can first apply a warm towel and pay attention to local cleanliness.

Nipple pain after intercourse during ovulation may also be a PMS problem. It starts to appear 7-14 days before menstruation, worsens 2-3 days before menstruation, and causes symptoms such as edema and headache. Some people also experience general fatigue, easy fatigue, insomnia, headaches, and some may also experience edema of the hands, feet, and face, distension and pain in the lower abdomen, as well as breast tenderness and back pain. It disappears or is significantly relieved after menstruation.

Experts suggest that you relax and don’t be afraid of these days. Maybe if you don’t think about it deliberately, it won’t bother you. Eat less sweets. Sweets can make people emotionally unstable and anxious, so you might as well eat less sweets or not eat them. Instead, drink more water and eat more fresh fruits. The symptoms can be significantly alleviated or even disappear. In severe cases, take sedatives such as phenobarbital or progesterone, androgen, etc. for treatment as prescribed by the doctor. Also pay attention to how the food is cooked. In the early stages of pregnancy, it is advisable to cook light and delicious food and avoid greasy and fishy food. You can also adjust the taste of the food according to the pregnant woman's preferences to avoid picky eating.

Ovulation test strips for self-testing

Ovulation test strips predict ovulation by detecting the peak level of luteinizing hormone (LH). Within 24 to 48 hours before a woman ovulates, the luteinizing hormone (LH) in her urine will reach a peak level, and the result of self-testing with an ovulation test strip will show a positive result.

Enter your menstrual cycle and the start time of your last menstrual period, and start testing with the test strip on the date marked in red. If the test result is negative, you can test every other day. If a weak positive result appears, you need to test every day. If a strong positive result appears (that is, both the test line and the control line are very obvious), it means that ovulation will occur within 24-48 hours.

Generally, a strong positive result will last for 2 days, and when the result turns from strong positive to negative, it means that ovulation has occurred. There are instructions on the back of the test strip package, which should be read carefully before use.

The follicles develop and mature under the action of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). Within 24 hours before PL, there will be a peak in LH, and it will definitely occur. Therefore, we use PL test paper to detect this peak. When the color of the second line of the test paper is close to, the same as, or exceeds the color of the first line, you know that PL is expected within 24 hours. It's very intuitive and clear, and there's plenty of time to prepare. Therefore, when a strong positive appears, test twice or more per day. If the color starts to lighten, then the previous measurement was the peak.
