Why does the vagina prolapse and what should I do if it happens?

Because of difficult delivery operations, cervical tissue fall, congenital maldevelopment, and insufficient physical qi and blood, people may suffer from vaginal prolapse. Patients with vaginal prolapse cannot give birth normally, which may also affect their daily sex life and the relationship between couples. At the same time, patients will be prone to infection and inflammation due to vaginal prolapse outside the body. Therefore, we must make a clear judgment and understanding of the causes of vaginal prolapse, and provide nursing treatment and prevention work based on the correct causes.

Causes of Vaginal Prolapse

Traumatic factors (30%):

Delivery injuries, such as delayed labor, dystocia, and operative delivery, can cause overstretching and laceration of the paracervical tissue, pelvic fascia, pelvic floor muscles, and their fascia.

Endocrine factors (30%):

In some women with early menopause (premature ovarian failure) or menopause, when ovarian function gradually declines, estrogen levels drop, and the function of the supporting structures of the reproductive tract weakens, prolapse may occur or the degree of existing prolapse may be aggravated.

Congenital developmental factors (20%):

Congenital maldevelopment of supporting structures and chronic cough can lead to prolapse. Anterior vaginal wall prolapse is mainly caused by excessive stretching or tearing of the pubocervical fascia and vesicocervical ligament, while posterior vaginal wall prolapse is caused by rupture of the pubococcygeus muscle fibers.

Causes and pathogenesis of the disease in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that the disease is mostly caused by insufficient congenital constitution, or excessive labor during childbirth, damage to the cell networks, kidney qi deficiency, dysfunction of the storage system, and looseness of the kidney belts; or insufficient kidney yang, which causes the meridians to fail to be warm; or insufficient kidney yin, which cannot nourish the tendons and veins, resulting in prolapse of the yin. Or the spleen and stomach are weak, injured during childbirth, overworked too early after childbirth, or long-term coughing can lead to weak spleen qi, sinking of qi in the middle, and inability to lift and retract, which causes vaginal wall bulging.

In short, the main mechanism of this disease is qi deficiency and kidney deficiency, which lead to qi collapse and collapse. If kidney deficiency and qi deficiency affect the functions of Chong, Ren, Baomai and Baogong, it will lead to infertility.
