Why do I have stomach pain after doing B-ultrasound?

In fact, there is not much to pay attention to before doing a B-ultrasound examination. It is mainly necessary to pay attention when using B-ultrasound to examine the liver and urogenital system. Why does my stomach hurt after doing an ultrasound? What are the common problems in B-ultrasound examination?

A method for women who have no sex life and need to hold their urine. The camera is used through the abdomen and anus to monitor whether there are any abnormalities in the uterine appendages. Generally speaking, we do B-ultrasound by two methods: holding urine or not holding urine. Therefore, we check the vagina to see if there is any abnormality in the uterine appendages.

Under normal circumstances. This type of ultrasound is not likely to cause stomach pain. If the patient has abdominal pain after ultrasound, we will consider whether the patient has had chronic pelvic inflammatory disease or acute pelvic inflammatory disease before the examination. It is caused by the ultrasound probe directly contacting the uterus and pelvic organs and causing lifting pain.

1. When doing B-ultrasound examination of internal organs such as gallbladder and liver, you should avoid eating and drinking on the day of the examination. The dinner the day before the test should be light food with less residue. On the morning of the test, breakfast and water should be avoided to ensure that the test is done on an empty stomach in the morning. If there is still a lot of gas in the digestive tract after fasting, you need to take anti-bloating tablets 1-2 days before the examination to clear the gas in the stomach. This can reduce the impact of gastrointestinal contents on the ultrasonic beam and ensure that the gallbladder and bile duct are filled with sufficient bile, making the examination results more accurate.

2. Two days before the B-ultrasound, gastrointestinal barium meal radiography and cholangiography should be avoided. For patients who seek medical treatment for gastrointestinal diseases, doctors sometimes give out barium meal radiography and B-ultrasound test orders at the same time. It is best for patients to have B-ultrasound examination first and then barium meal radiography. Otherwise, misdiagnosis is very easy to occur.

3. When doing B-ultrasound examination of the urogenital system and the abdomen, you should drink 400-600 ml of warm water 1-2 hours before the examination and wait until the bladder is full before the examination.
