What is cervical human papillomavirus infection?

The infection rate of human papillomavirus is very high among young girls, which is caused by their too frequent sexual life, and in severe cases it can indeed develop into cervical cancer. Female friends can prevent infection with this virus through safe sex, the body's immune function, and not doing vaginal douching to better ensure their own health.

1. What is the relationship between HPV (human papillomavirus) and cervical cancer?

HPV can be detected in 95% of cervical cancer cells. In other words, HPV is a necessary cause for cervical cancer, but people who are infected with human papillomavirus should not panic, because most patients will recover on their own.

According to research, two years after being infected with HPV, only a small number of women continue to be invaded by HPV and develop cervical cancer. Most are cleared by the immune system.

According to epidemiological statistics in the United States, the HPV infection rate among young girls under the age of 25 is 40% because of their frequent sexual life. However, as they age, their sexual life becomes simpler and their body's immune function clears the HPV. Therefore, the chance of a 50-year-old woman being infected with the HPV is only 10%.

Therefore, how to prevent HPV infection is a very important issue.

2. There are several ways to prevent HPV infection:

First, safe sex: According to epidemiological statistics, the more sexual partners a woman has, the more likely she is to be infected with human papillomavirus (HPV) than a woman with only one sexual partner. Therefore, simplifying sex life can prevent HPV infection.

Second, the body's immune function: Taking vitamins regularly every day can reduce the infection rate of human papillomavirus. It may be that vitamins improve the body's immune function.

Third, never do vaginal douching: Some women think that vaginal douching can wash away vaginal secretions very cleanly. Normal women's vaginal mucus contains antibodies, which can resist foreign viruses and bacteria. If these immune antibodies are completely washed away, immunity to viruses will be lost.

Excessive flushing will damage the surface of the vaginal mucosa and cause damage to the vaginal mucosa. These damaged areas are a good way for viruses to invade, so never flush the mucosa.

Fourth, avoid smoking: because smoking not only increases lung cancer, but also increases cervical cancer and human papillomavirus infection.

3. Can the cervical cancer prevention vaccine really provide 100% prevention?

Vaccination causes the body to produce antibodies against human papillomavirus, thereby achieving the effect of preventing human papillomavirus infection. However, there are more than 100 subtypes of human papillomavirus, and the current virus can only target subtypes related to cervical cancer. Therefore, the vaccination of this vaccine cannot achieve 100% effectiveness.

But according to preliminary clinical studies, it can effectively reduce human papillomavirus infection.

In addition, by the way, the use of condoms cannot completely prevent HPV infection, because HPV infection can be transmitted through contact with the perineal skin. Condoms only cover the penis and the woman's vagina, and cannot prevent contact with the perineal skin. Contact with the perineal skin can still cause HPV infection.

In the near future, after clinical vaccination trials are completed, a good method of HPV prevention should be available.
