What to do if the cervix is eroded and enlarged

Women are often confused by cervical erosion. Many women have abnormal leucorrhea and are diagnosed with cervical erosion only after a physical examination at the hospital. And this kind of situation often occurs. Sometimes it is cured in the first half of the year, but it reappears in the second half of the year. For women, it is really confusing. What should I do if my cervix becomes eroded and thickened?

What to do if the cervix is eroded and thickened

At present, the common methods of treating cervical erosion are: drugs, physical therapy, etc., but relatively speaking, drug treatment is only suitable for patients with cervical erosion with relatively mild symptoms. Women who have not given birth are more suitable for this method. The common drug for treating cervical erosion is erosion suppository, which has a strong rejection and erosion-removing effect, thereby avoiding side effects such as postoperative burning, scarring, and affecting fertility. However, there is currently no effective medicine to treat severe cervical erosion, and surgery is required.

What is cervical erosion?

The vast majority of cervical erosions are physiological, and only a few are physiological.

(1) The essence of physiological cervical erosion is the displacement of cervical columnar epithelial cells caused by high estrogen levels. After menopause, the estrogen level decreases and the cervix becomes smooth. In other words, the difference between an eroded cervix and a non-eroded cervix is the same as a person's appearance, it's just the difference between having acne or not, and whether the skin is smooth or not.

(2) Physiological cervical erosion refers to the displacement of columnar epithelial cells caused by diseases such as vaginitis and cervical neoplasia.

In fact, not all people suffer from cervical erosion. People who are prone to cervical erosion are mainly those in adolescence, postpartum, with menstrual disorders, pregnant, and those who often use emergency contraception. Cervical erosion can actually only be treated with medication, and the cure may not be so fast. You must also take good care of yourself to achieve better results.
