How to protect the fetus during pregnancy

If you have had a miscarriage before, you must emphasize care after pregnancy and do a good job of preserving the fetus. You must prevent the symptoms of threatened miscarriage. When preserving the fetus, you cannot take medicine indiscriminately. You must use medicine under the guidance of a doctor. In addition, you must pay attention to checkups during pregnancy. If you have had a history of spontaneous abortion, you must be cautious about sexual intercourse, maintain an optimistic attitude, and pay attention to diet.

1. Do not use drugs indiscriminately to protect pregnancy

It is important to prescribe the right medicine to protect the fetus. For example, late threatened abortion (pregnancy more than 3 months but less than 28 weeks) is mostly caused by relaxation of the internal cervical os. If you want to preserve the fetus, in addition to using tocolytic drugs, you should also use drugs that inhibit uterine contractions and other means of auxiliary treatment.

2. Don’t ignore pregnancy checkups

It is very important to check various antibody and hormone levels before pregnancy, but some pregnant women often ignore it. For women with recurrent miscarriage whose pre-pregnancy examinations show normal results, prenatal examinations are particularly important.

Blindly preserving the fetus may not only have adverse effects on the fetus, but may also be harmful to the mother herself. Because the dead pregnancy products stay in the uterus for too long, it can cause serious coagulation disorders, increased vaginal bleeding and other problems. There are even cases where failure to perform a curettage and dilation surgery in a timely manner may lead to intrauterine infection, affecting future fertility.

3. Pregnant women with a history of spontaneous abortion should avoid sexual intercourse within 3 months and after 7 months of pregnancy. Those with habitual abortion should strictly prohibit sexual intercourse during this period. Pregnant women should begin regular prenatal checkups in the second trimester to promptly detect and address abnormalities in pregnancy and ensure the healthy development of the fetus.

4. Try to keep a good mood, avoid all kinds of adverse stimulation, eliminate tension, boredom, and fear, especially avoid extreme joy, sorrow, anger, and worry, otherwise it will be very detrimental to the growth and development of the fetus. You can eat more green leafy vegetables, which are rich in folic acid, and more protein-rich foods such as meat, fish, poultry, soy products and eggs.
