What is uterine contraction, bleeding and water breaking

Uterine contractions, bleeding and broken water are signs that a woman is about to give birth, indicating that the pregnant woman is about to give birth in the late pregnancy. At this time, there will be regular uterine contractions and bloody secretions. When delivery is approaching, the amniotic sac surrounding the fetus will rupture, and then the amniotic fluid will flow out of the vagina. This means that the pregnant woman is about to give birth and she should go to the hospital for delivery in time.

Regular uterine contractions are the most important sign of labor. False labor occurs and disappears sometimes, and lasts for a short time. It is a preparation for real delivery. After regular uterine contractions occur, the cervix continues to dilate, indicating that delivery is imminent.

Characteristics of uterine contractions:

· The contractions of the uterus are regular and gradually increase. In the early stages, contractions occur approximately every 10 minutes and are relatively mild.

The intensity of uterine contractions gradually deepens, the frequency of uterine contractions increases, and they occur about every 3 to 5 minutes. The duration of each contraction becomes longer and can last for 50 to 60 seconds.

Rupture of membranes - As delivery approaches, the amniotic sac surrounding the fetus ruptures, allowing the amniotic fluid in the sac to leak out of the vagina.

Characteristics of water breaking:

The amniotic fluid that flows out is colorless and transparent and may contain floating substances such as vernix caseosa.

Feeling of warm fluid coming out of the vagina.
