What causes lower abdominal pain and abnormal leucorrhea?

Leucorrhea is vaginal discharge, which contains vaginal epithelial exfoliation, white blood cells and some non-pathogenic bacteria. Abnormalities in the color, quality and amount of leucorrhea are called abnormal leucorrhea. Most abnormal leucorrhea is caused by not paying attention to hygiene. Some people think that it is safest to wash the vulva with clean water, and even use hot water to wash it. In fact, this is wrong. External factors, like the mouth, also have self-cleaning functions. Improper care can cause exogenous bacterial imbalance, abnormal leucorrhea, more severe itching, and even vaginitis, making the vagina drier.

1. If the amount of vaginal discharge is large, there is an odor and there is back pain, it is possible to consider genital inflammation, which is mostly cervicitis or pelvic inflammatory disease, and the possibility of combined vaginitis is not ruled out.

2. Leucorrhea is composed of secretions from the cervix, uterus and vaginal exudate. Normal leucorrhea is colorless and odorless. During the ovulation period of the menstrual cycle, the amount of leucorrhea increases and becomes thinner. This is to facilitate the formation of the fertilized egg and is not pathological.

3. If the amount of vaginal discharge is always large, consider genital inflammation, such as vulvitis, vaginitis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc. If the increase of vaginal discharge is accompanied by itching, pain, or burning sensation of vulvar skin, consider vulvitis and vaginitis. Common types of vaginitis include Trichomonas vaginitis, Candida vaginitis, bacterial vaginitis, and senile vaginitis. Their diagnosis requires vaginal discharge examination. If the amount of vaginal discharge is large and accompanied by lower abdominal distension and lumbar pain, consider cervicitis and pelvic inflammatory disease. Differentiation requires the help of gynecological examination, colposcopy, B-ultrasound, etc.
