Can you use baking soda to clean mold?

Candidal vaginitis can be treated by regular cleaning of the vulva with soda, and 2% or 3% soda water can be used for vaginal cleaning and private parts, and then clotrimazole or clotrimazole suppository can be used before going to bed every night for 10 to 14 days as a course of treatment. Come back for a follow-up visit seven days after the medication is stopped, and the fungal symptoms will subside. Come back for a third follow-up visit two weeks later when the fungus is cured. Candidal vaginitis needs to be completely eradicated and is prone to recurrence. Sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited during the medication period. Let’s take a closer look at whether mold can be washed with baking soda.

If you suffer from candidal vaginitis, you can consider using baking soda to clean the vulva. Baking soda is an alkaline substance that has a certain effect on alleviating candidal vaginitis. And during the application period, special attention should be paid to the concentration of the soda solution. The recommended concentration is around 2%-5%. Too high a concentration may damage the vaginal mucosa, and too low a concentration may not achieve the desired effect.

However, in addition to cleaning with baking soda, it is recommended to follow the doctor's advice and take symptomatic medication to completely cure candidal vaginitis. The main treatment is antifungal drugs, such as oral fluconazole tablets or nystatin suppositories.

Use alkaline solution such as 2 to 4 percent sodium bicarbonate or soap solution to clean the private parts and vagina to change the acidity and alkalinity of the vagina, which is not conducive to the growth of fungi. After cleaning, treatment was with nystatin vaginal suppository, oral ketoconazole and clotrimazole suppository. During the treatment, sexual intercourse is prohibited, and underwear should be changed, washed, boiled and disinfected every day. After one course of treatment, the fungal test was negative. After each menstrual cycle, the fungal test was negative. The treatment was continued for three courses to be considered cured. It is best that men should also receive separate treatment, taking nystatin tablets orally for one week will suffice. Wash socks and underwear separately. Otherwise, it is very easy to relapse. The causes of relapse are usually incomplete treatment and reinfection of sexual partners.
