What are the disadvantages of the luteal phase ovulation induction program?

Inducing ovulation during the luteal phase is a common method, that is, during ovulation, egg retrieval and artificial insemination are performed, which can promote the success of female conception. For infertile women, this method can increase the chance of pregnancy. Of course, this method also has certain disadvantages, so infertile women must go to a regular hospital for examination in time, and prevent menstruation during the ovulation induction period.

With the introduction of the follicular development wave theory, some patients with ovarian dysfunction have too few basal follicles during menstruation. During the luteal phase, the developed follicular waves can also be used for ovulation induction and egg retrieval. This method provides another idea for ovulation induction in these patients.

The luteal phase ovulation induction program starts about 3 days after ovulation is confirmed by B-ultrasound or egg retrieval. When the B-ultrasound shows that the diameter of the follicle is less than or equal to 10mm, ovulation induction medication is started. Ovulation induction drugs can be taken orally or by injection, and the dosage is slightly larger than the follicular phase ovulation induction dosage. Chorionic gonadotropin trigger is also given after the follicle develops to be greater than or equal to 17mm, and the eggs are retrieved 36 hours later.

The luteal phase ovulation induction program provides another supplementary program for patients with poor ovarian response and reduced ovarian reserve. The cycle time is flexible and changeable, but there is no large-scale data support for the use of this program at home and abroad, and more experience in use needs to be accumulated. At the same time, after the eggs are obtained to form embryos through the luteal phase ovulation induction program, the whole embryos need to be frozen, and the frozen embryos need to be resuscitated and transplanted after the menstruation comes. Menstruation should be prevented during the ovulation induction period.

The methods of inducing ovulation in the luteal phase have been introduced in detail above. After fully understanding the methods of inducing ovulation in the luteal phase, many women who want to become pregnant can use the ovulation methods introduced above. I believe that through the ovulation methods introduced, the probability of pregnancy will be greatly increased.
