What are the dangers of taking emergency contraceptive pills?

Especially in the first 3 months of taking oral contraceptives, the increased estrogen levels cause water and sodium retention, thus leading to weight gain in the second half of the menstrual cycle; progesterone promotes anabolism, leading to weight gain.

4. Dull complexion. After taking birth control pills, some women may experience a dull complexion, which is caused by pigmentation caused by estrogen.
