How to relieve itching caused by candidal vaginitis?

The most obvious symptom of candidal vaginitis is extreme itching of the vulva, which can have a great impact on women. Moreover, this itching can cause inconvenience to women's life and work, making them restless. Therefore, the first step in treating candidal vaginitis is to stop the itching in time. During the treatment process, sexual intercourse between husband and wife should be prohibited, and the couple should be treated together, otherwise the disease will easily recur. So how to relieve itching when suffering from fungal vaginitis?

First of all, under the premise of a clear diagnosis, timely treatment measures should be taken, and local medications can be used for treatment. Pay attention to menstrual hygiene, change menstrual pads frequently during menstruation, and wash them frequently. Keep the vulva clean and dry, do not wash it with hot water or scrub it with soap.

Secondly, avoid alcohol, spicy food, seafood, and any medicines that may cause allergies. Avoid indiscriminate or abusive use of drugs, and avoid scratching or local friction.

In addition, maintain good personal hygiene, do not wear tight crotch pants, and underwear should be loose, breathable, and preferably made of cotton. Developing good living habits can also effectively relieve itching. If it doesn't work, you can also use some anti-itching drugs for treatment. But don't take the medicine blindly on your own. Make sure to take it under the guidance of a doctor.

(1) Changing the pH value of the vagina: The most suitable pH value for the growth of Candida is 5.5. Therefore, using alkaline solution to flush the vulva and vagina can change the pH value of the vagina and inhibit the growth and reproduction of fungi.

(2) Buy a bottle of "compound clotrimazole ointment" (available in most pharmacies, about one yuan per bottle). First clean the vagina, then take a sterilized cotton ball and tie it with a thin string (for easy removal). After applying the ointment on the cotton ball, insert it into the vagina, and then apply some more on the inner and outer openings of the vagina. Do this once a day (it is usually better to take the medicine before going to bed at night). For mild cases, 3 to 5 times will usually be enough. Or apply compound clotrimazole ointment externally and Daktarin suppository internally.

(3) Oral medication: Since fungal infections can be transmitted between couples through sexual intercourse, both parties can be treated with oral medication, which can also inhibit intestinal Candida albicans. Fluconazole oral dose: 150 mg once, taken all at once.

(4) Keep the vulva clean and dry, and avoid scratching (the more you scratch, the more itchy it becomes, and it affects the treatment effect). After being cured, three consecutive reexaminations should be conducted after the menstruation is over, and only when the results are all negative can the cure be confirmed. The main reasons for the recurrence of candidal vaginitis are failure to completely eliminate the pathogens, improper use of medication, and insufficient course of treatment. It is recommended to receive standardized treatment under the guidance of a doctor to achieve complete cure. During the treatment period, you must be careful not to have sex. Not only will it cause cross infection, but it will also affect the treatment effect. Therefore, it is best for couples to treat together. Underwear should be changed every day and disinfected with Dechun underwear disinfectant
