The more common symptoms of genital warts are that the affected area is moist, local secretions increase, and the chance of bacterial infection increases. If bacterial infection occurs, local redness, swelling, and pain may occur, and erosion, ulceration, necrosis, exudation, or obvious purulent fluid may also occur.

If genital warts occur in the urethra, symptoms of genital warts such as frequent urination, urgency, pain when urinating, and changes in the urine flow curve may also appear. If the urethral lesions seriously involve the bladder, bilateral ureteral obstruction may occur, causing hydronephrosis, renal infection, and renal insufficiency. If the damage spreads to the pelvis, it may cause intestinal obstruction and lower limb edema.

If the damage occurs in the female cervix, vaginal wall, vaginal opening, urethral opening or the male glans penis, foreskin, urethral opening, etc. It can cause bleeding after sexual intercourse or when the lesions are rubbed, and can also cause pain.
