If you want to effectively remove cesarean section scars, you must be cautious in choosing the method. Surgical scar removal is now more effective, and there are also scar removal methods such as stock injection and pressure therapy. Scientifically choosing these methods can effectively reduce the scars. 1. Scar removal surgery Principle: Use surgery to reduce the width of scars or change the direction of scars toward skin texture. Surgery can remove hypertrophic scars and keloids on the belly, as well as scars near joints that impede movement. It is often combined with steroid injections and follow-up with a silicone patch. When used alone, it may cause abnormal scar regeneration. 2. Steroid injection Principle: By controlling the abnormal proliferation of capillary endothelial cells in hemangiomas and forming the process of immature new blood vessels, the treatment of proliferative hemangiomas can be achieved. Corticosteroid injections are the first-line treatment for hypertrophic scars and keloids. Intralesional injections every 4-6 weeks are continued for several months or until the scars flatten. Pain during injection often affects patient compliance and may require local anesthesia. 3. Pressure therapy Principle: It mainly uses pressure to narrow the blood vessel lumen in the scar, reduce blood flow, cause the scar tissue to lack nutrition, and significantly inhibit the proliferation of scar tissue, thus achieving the purpose of scar treatment. This is the standard treatment for hypertrophic burn scars, and although the mechanism of action is unclear and rigorous experimental evidence is lacking, compression garments are often used in hospitals. This special bandage-like garment needs to be used continuously for up to 12 months. 4. Radiation therapy Principle: Radiation can penetrate human tissue. When it irradiates scar tissue, its radiation energy is transferred to the tissue, causing physical and chemical damage to the scar, thereby inhibiting and destroying the growth of the scar and achieving the purpose of scar treatment. Because of the possibility of side effects, radiation therapy is usually used only to treat keloids in adults who have not responded to other treatment options. 5. Laser therapy Principle: Use colored light of different wavelengths to act on different tissues, and perform treatment selectively to ensure that the skin is not damaged. The light is injected into the subcutaneous tissue, turning the particles into powder, making them jump higher and larger, and then they are absorbed and cleared by macrophages. If the scar tissue is darker in color, the treatment can be repeated multiple times, constantly changing the wavelength of light. Lasers are used to treat various types of scars, but the results have been mixed. Although there are some reports of effectiveness, laser therapy as a new treatment option lacks sufficient medical evidence. |
