Women's ovulation period is a very complicated issue. For example, calculations using scientific formulas may not be accurate, so scientific methods are often needed to monitor it. For example, monitoring ovulation by measuring body temperature is a very common method. 1.Basal body temperature monitoring ovulation: Basal body temperature is the body's temperature when it is at rest. Therefore, it needs to be measured after sleeping for more than 6-8 hours, without getting up, eating, drinking, or talking. When I wake up every morning, the first thing I do is to pick up a mercury thermometer, hold it under my tongue for 5 minutes, and then record the temperature on the thermometer. Basal body temperature needs to be measured continuously for at least one cycle (that is, from the first day of menstruation to the day before the next menstruation). Connect each point with a line and you will get your own body temperature curve. Generally, in the first half of the menstrual cycle, body temperature often remains at a lower level, which is called the low temperature period. After ovulation, the body temperature reaches a high temperature platform after 2-3 days, which is called the high temperature period. The two steps in the body temperature curve are called biphasic body temperature. The average difference between high and low temperatures is 0.3 to 0.5 degrees. On the day before or on the day of menstruation, the body temperature drops suddenly and a new cycle begins. A biphasic temperature indicates that the ovaries are ovulating. 2. Ovulation test strips to monitor ovulation It is a good choice to buy ovulation test strips on the market to detect ovulation. The day when the ovulation test is positive is called point A, and ovulation usually occurs 24-48 hours after this point. You must have sex on the day you see a positive result, once every other day, for 3 consecutive times! 3. B-ultrasound monitoring of ovulation Ultrasound monitoring of ovulation can tell a lot of information that cannot be replaced by other methods, such as: on which side the follicle grows? How big? Has it been ruled out? How effective are ovulation-stimulating drugs? Is there overstimulation? etc. However, B-ultrasound requires multiple visits to the hospital, usually 4-6 times or even more in one cycle, which takes time and money, so not everyone can take advantage of it. B-ultrasound cannot tell you how the corpus luteum is functioning like basal body temperature. |
