Is ovarian follicle rupture with bleeding normal?

The rupture of the follicle and accompanied by bleeding is actually what we call ovulation bleeding. This is a normal physiological phenomenon. If there are no other abnormal problems, then no special treatment is required.

Ovulation bleeding is a normal physiological phenomenon. If there is no obvious discomfort, no treatment is required. Causes of ovulation bleeding:

(l) Decreased estrogen secretion. When a woman ovulates, she may experience a small amount of bleeding due to the decrease in estrogen levels, which makes it impossible to maintain normal endometrial growth. When the corpus luteum forms after ovulation and secretes sufficient amounts of estrogen and progesterone, the endometrium is repaired and bleeding stops.

(2) Luteal insufficiency. It can be seen in women with premature luteal recession, where the corpus luteum secretes insufficient estrogen and progesterone to support the endometrium; or the endometrium responds poorly, resulting in a small amount of bleeding a few days before menstruation, followed by normal menstruation.

(3) The corpus luteum atrophy is incomplete and lasts too long. Due to incomplete atrophy of the corpus luteum, estrogen and progesterone cannot drop rapidly, and the endometrium sheds irregularly, resulting in bleeding.

(4) Delayed endometrial repair. After the patient's menstruation, the follicles of the next cycle fail to grow and develop in time, and the secretion of estrogen is insufficient, which cannot make the endometrium regenerate well and repair the wound to stop bleeding. Therefore, menstruation can be delayed until after ovulation. If you feel unwell, it is recommended that you go to a regular hospital specialist for relevant examinations in time, and receive symptomatic treatment after a clear diagnosis.
