Symptoms of chronic adnexitis, these manifestations should be known

Chronic adnexitis is very common among women, especially those who have casual sex lives. Those suffering from chronic adnexitis will experience abdominal pain, lower abdominal distension, back pain, and increased vaginal discharge. It is important to understand the transmission routes of adnexitis and take preventive measures.

1. Symptoms of chronic adnexitis

Chronic adnexitis causes abdominal pain of varying degrees. Chronic inflammation recurs over time, causing pelvic congestion, connective tissue fibrosis, and adhesion of pelvic organs. Patients experience symptoms such as lower abdominal distension, pain, and lumbar pain, which may be mild or severe, accompanied by increased vaginal discharge, low back pain, menstrual disorders, etc., and often worsen during menstruation or after fatigue. During gynecological examination, there is tenderness, thickening, or a tender mass in the bilateral or unilateral adnexal area, and the white blood cell count is elevated or normal.

It is particularly worth noting that some symptoms of adnexitis are sometimes not very obvious, but because the fallopian tubes and ovaries are adjacent to each other, it is difficult to distinguish them when inflammation occurs. In particular, chronic inflammation of the fallopian tubes can lead to fibrosis, thickening and blockage of the fallopian tubes over time, and may also cause adhesion to surrounding tissues. If both ends of the fallopian tube are blocked, hydrosalpinx may form. The accumulated water will penetrate into the ovaries that are adhered together, forming a fallopian tube ovarian cyst. This is the main cause of post-marital infertility or ectopic pregnancy.

2. Transmission channels

1. Lymphatic transmission: If female friends suffer from enteritis, especially severe colitis, and do not receive timely treatment, the pathogenic bacteria can spread from the colon through the lymphatic vessels to the genitals.

2. Direct invasion: If a female friend suffers from appendicitis and delays treatment without timely treatment, the bacteria will break through the appendix membrane and flow into the right appendix with the pus, and even accumulate in the left appendix, eventually leading to an attack of adnexitis, which is a more common type of appendicitis in clinical practice.

3. Hematogenous transmission: If a female friend suffers from tuberculosis, such as pulmonary tuberculosis, the tuberculosis bacteria can invade the genitals through the blood, which is very likely to cause adnexitis. This is a very common situation.

4. Non-sexual invasion of sexually transmitted disease pathogens: With the development of society, environmental pollution is very serious, resulting in the prevalence of sexually transmitted diseases. They can enter the reproductive tract through non-sexual routes, such as bathing in a bathtub, sitting on a toilet, wearing a bathrobe, etc., eventually leading to an attack of adnexitis and affecting women's health.

5. Other ways: Female friends usually do not pay attention to cultivating good living habits, such as taking a bath during menstruation or just washing the private parts with clean water or using alkaline shower gel, which will destroy the acid-base balance of the private parts. Bacteria will go up into the internal reproductive organs, causing adnexitis and affecting their own health. Therefore, it is more appropriate to use a female care solution with a weak acid formula of Ph4 when cleaning the vulva every day. Such as Jiaoyan feminine care liquid. Simply rinsing with water or using alkaline shower gel will disrupt the acid-base balance of the vagina.
