After giving birth, my period came once and then stopped

It is a natural physiological phenomenon for women to recover from menstruation after giving birth. If your period has come once and then stops, you should first rule out the possibility of pregnancy, because ovulation may occur after menstruation resumes. If the possibility of pregnancy is eliminated, it is not a big problem. The time of menstruation recovery varies. Some women may have their period after their baby is one month old, while others may not have their period during breastfeeding and may only have their period after their baby is one year old or after they stop breastfeeding. Whether you have your first menstruation or not after giving birth, you must take good contraceptive measures.

If you have a menstrual period after giving birth and then suddenly stop menstruating, the possibility of pregnancy should be ruled out. After giving birth, even during breastfeeding, some people will resume ovulation. Once the ovulation period is clinically restored, if no contraceptive method is used during intercourse, it will lead to the possibility of pregnancy. If you are not pregnant, it is recommended to have six sex hormone tests, mainly to understand whether the ovaries and lactogens are elevated. If lactogens are still at a high level, amenorrhea may occur again. Only after lactogens decrease will the menstrual period resume.

Postpartum women enter the breastfeeding period. Due to the influence of prolactin, ovulation will be suppressed, and menstruation will not come or there will be irregular menstruation. Therefore, if the menstruation does not come again after giving birth, it can be observed and no treatment is needed. Generally, menstruation will not resume until six months after giving birth. Some people will have normal menstruation about a year after giving birth.

If the body does not feel uncomfortable, the absence of menstruation can be observed. However, some people can get pregnant normally during breastfeeding, so if they experience amenorrhea, they should check whether they are pregnant. If they are not pregnant, they can just observe temporarily and no treatment is needed.
