What are the precautions for sexual life in late pregnancy

After eight weeks of pregnancy, the late pregnancy officially begins. During this period, the pregnant woman's abdomen will suddenly swell, sometimes accompanied by symptoms such as back pain and abdominal pain. At this time, pregnant women will also have a decrease in sexual desire. After all, the fetus grows very rapidly at this stage and the uterus also increases significantly. So what precautions should be taken when having sex in the late pregnancy?

For husbands, this is a period of patience, limiting themselves to gentle hugs and kisses, and refraining from any strongly stimulating behavior. In order not to affect the health of pregnant women and fetuses, couples should not only learn to restrain their emotions, but also sleep separately to avoid unnecessary sexual stimulation.

If you must have sex, you must be moderate, pay attention to body positions, control the frequency and duration of sex, and avoid rough movements. Moreover, sexual intercourse is absolutely prohibited one month before delivery.

Sexual intercourse must be avoided during the 4 or 3 weeks before delivery. Because the fetus is mature during this period. In order to welcome the birth of the fetus, the pregnant woman's uterus has descended and the cervix has gradually opened. If you have sexual intercourse at this time, the chances of amniotic fluid infection are greater. A survey confirmed that 50% of women who developed infection during the postpartum period had sexual intercourse with their spouses in the last four weeks of pregnancy. If sexual intercourse occurs within three days before delivery, 20% of women may develop serious infection; the infection not only threatens the safety of the mother who is about to give birth, but also affects the safety of the fetus and may cause premature birth. Premature babies have poor resistance and are more susceptible to diseases. Even if the fetus is not born prematurely, it can be affected by the mother's infectious diseases in the womb, and its physical and mental development can be affected.
