Female secondary sexual characteristics, including 5 types of breast development

The primary sexual characteristic of women is the development of their reproductive organs. As women age, their ovaries begin to secrete hormones, resulting in the appearance of secondary sexual characteristics. Female secondary sexual characteristics include the development of breasts, pubic hair, and armpit hair. The development time is different for different girls. Let me explain to you the manifestations of female secondary sexual characteristics.

Generally, breasts develop the earliest. Some girls with early development begin to develop breasts at the age of 8. The average age of development is 10 to 17 years old. The symptoms include protruding nipples, enlarged areola, and breast bulges like small hillocks, sometimes accompanied by mild tenderness. The breasts then swell and grow further, gradually forming adult breasts. Breast development can be divided into five stages. Breast size is related to many factors, including race, genetics, and a person's weight. Generally speaking, Chinese women have smaller breasts than Western women. In addition, women with slender and thin bodies tend to have smaller breasts, while women with plump and fatter bodies tend to have larger breasts. In short, the size of breasts varies greatly from person to person, which is generally normal. Only when the breasts are extremely large or small do you need to go to the hospital for examination.

Female pubic hair develops about half a year later than breasts, but for some girls there is a longer interval between the appearance of pubic hair and breast development. Armpit hair generally develops late, with an average age of 12.8 years. This is about 2 years later than breast development and half a year to one year later than pubic hair development. Almost all girls have armpit hair by the age of 18.

Female breast development stages

1. In the early stages of development, only the nipples protrude.

2. During the mammary gland eruption stage, the nipple bulges, and the breast and areola appear as a single hillock-like bulge, accompanied by enlargement of the areola.

3. The breast and areola further enlarge, both remain on the same hill-like horizontal plane, and the areola becomes darker in pigment.

4. The nipple and areola protrude from the breast hillock to form a second hillock.

5. During the mature stage, the breasts become larger, but the areola and the breasts are on the same hill.
