Thick and yellow leucorrhea in early pregnancy

Thick and yellow leucorrhea in early pregnancy

After knowing they are pregnant, the expectant father and mother are in an excited state. In order to welcome the arrival of the little life, they will prepare various things and some supplies for delivery. But at the same time, the body will also have pregnancy reactions. In addition to these, in the early stages of pregnancy, you will find that the leucorrhea is very sticky and yellow. At this time, people worry that they may have some inflammatory disease, so they will be particularly nervous.

Methods/Steps

In the early stages of pregnancy, due to the rapid increase in hormones, it is normal for vaginal secretions to increase. Therefore, increased leucorrhea in the early stages of pregnancy is also a normal reaction. If the vulva is not itchy and the leucorrhea has no odor, there is no need to worry. However, if you experience vulvar itching and pain, yellow leucorrhea, strange smell, or foul odor, you need to go to the hospital for medical treatment, as this may be caused by vulvar or vaginal diseases. If left unchecked, it may affect the growth and development of the fetus.

It is abnormal for pregnant women to have yellow leucorrhea with an odor. It is usually caused by vaginal Trichomonas infection, which will cause watery leucorrhea with a foul odor, and itching or pain in the vagina. Trichomonas is mainly transmitted through sexual intercourse, but can also be transmitted through indirect contact. Swimming pools, bathing pools and especially ponds can become places for the transmission of Trichomonas and cause yellow leucorrhea during pregnancy. It is also possible for a mother to infect her newborn with trichomoniasis.

Unpleasant odors can affect fetal development. For pregnant women, due to the decrease of lactic acid bacteria in the vagina during pregnancy, the original balance of flora is broken, the pH value of the vagina will rise, which is suitable for the growth of Trichomonas, and thus they will often be infected with Trichomonas vaginitis. Therefore, yellow leucorrhea during pregnancy will affect the normal development of the fetus.

Yellow leucorrhea with odor after pregnancy not only causes unbearable itching of the vulva, affecting life and energy, but also may affect pregnancy if not treated in time, causing premature rupture of membranes, premature birth, etc. Yellow leucorrhea during pregnancy is likely to cause fetal infection. After the fetus is infected, erythematous rashes will appear on the skin, and yellow pinpoint spots will appear on the umbilical cord. If the fetus is delivered vaginally, 2/3 of the newborns will become ill. Yellow leucorrhea during pregnancy may also cause thrush and red buttocks.
