What should I do if the fallopian tube is blocked?

If a woman's fallopian tubes are blocked, it is very likely to cause infertility, after all, the sperm and egg cannot combine. Therefore, when treating this situation, the methods adopted are different according to different causes. Drug treatment and surgical treatment are more common. In addition, you also need to understand what to do if the fallopian tubes are blocked?

1. Ventilation:

The diagnostic accuracy is only 45% to 50%, and there is a potential risk of air embolism.

2. Liquid flow:

This is the most widely used and simplest diagnostic method. Fluid is injected into the uterine cavity through a catheter, and the patency of the fallopian tube is determined based on the resistance to injection, the presence or absence of reflux, the amount of fluid injected, and the patient's feeling. Because tubal insufflation is easy to perform, does not require special equipment, is low-cost, and has the potential to cause or aggravate hydrosalpinx.

3. Hysterosalpingography under X-ray:

Contrast agent is injected into the uterine cavity and fallopian tube through a catheter, and judgment is made based on the development of the image under X-ray fluoroscopy and filming. This method can not only determine whether the fallopian tube is unobstructed and the location of the blockage, but also diagnose the internal structure of the fallopian tube. Selective salpingography is less invasive and can make a correct diagnosis of fallopian tube obstruction (especially proximal obstruction).

4. Endoscopic examination:

Endoscopes extend the doctor's eyes and hands. With the help of various endoscopes, the doctor can directly observe the body cavity (laparoscopy to examine the abdominal cavity), the inside of hollow organs (hysteroscopy to examine the uterine cavity) and the tubular cavity (salpingoscopy to examine the fallopian tube), and perform multiple surgical operations at the same time. With the rapid development of modern science and technology, especially optical technology, endoscopic instruments are constantly updated, operating techniques are constantly maturing, and their applications are becoming more and more extensive. ...
