The harm of accessory breast is so terrible!

Many people do not pay attention to the appearance of accessory breasts because some people say it is no big deal. In fact, this disease can be mild or severe and may be very serious for some patients. Therefore, the dangers of this disease are introduced below, hoping that everyone will pay enough attention to it.

1. Congenital accessory breast feels hard inside, and some have a small white spot, which is called degenerated nipple. Acquired accessory breasts are pseudo-accessory breasts, which are mostly caused by acquired obesity or improper dressing. Congenital accessory breasts may have complete nipples and mammary glands, while acquired ones are mostly just fat accumulation.

2. Incomplete accessory breasts, especially those with only nipples and areolas but no glandular tissue, have little impact on the body and do not have the risk of developing into breast cancer. Intact accessory breast is different because it has the same tissue structure, physiological characteristics and pathological changes as normal breasts, and may also suffer from diseases such as mastitis, lobular hyperplasia, breast fibroids, and breast cancer.

3. Accessory breasts have the same tissue structure, physiological characteristics and pathological changes as normal breasts, and are also affected by female hormones. They become swollen and painful during the menstrual cycle, pregnancy or lactation, and a small amount of milk is secreted during lactation. Some accessory breasts do not have nipples, and the milk they secrete cannot be emptied and accumulates, causing swelling, inflammation, and even suppuration. In addition, diseases that normal breasts may face, such as mastitis, lobular hyperplasia, breast fibroids, breast cancer, etc., can also occur in accessory breasts, and the degree of harm is higher than that of normal breasts.

4. What is more serious is that accessory breasts are often covered with various confusing "disguises", which can easily lead patients to misdiagnosis. It is common to mistake inflammation of the accessory breast for lymph node inflammation, or to misdiagnose lobular hyperplasia of the accessory breast as lipoma. Since the former two are inflammations, the treatment principles are roughly the same, and both require the use of anti-inflammatory drugs; the latter two are benign lesions and will not cause life-threatening situations. If accessory breast cancer is treated as common inflammation, it will directly threaten the patient's life.
