The difference between uterine fibroids and cysts, it turns out we have been wrong!

Many people often confuse cysts with uterine fibroids, thinking that the two are the same disease. However, according to experts, uterine fibroids and cysts are completely different things, and the difference between them is huge, so don't put the two together in the future.

1. Uterine fibroids and cysts are not the same concept. There is a big difference between the two, so you must not put the two together. Uterine fibroids are a type of tumor that depends on estrogen for growth and are common in women aged 30 to 50 years old.

2. Uterine fibroids can be divided into the following categories: 1. Intramural fibroids 2. Subserosal fibroids 3. Submucosal fibroids 4. Cervical fibroids.

3. Uterine cyst, also known as uterine leiomyoma, is the most common benign tumor of the female reproductive organ. Most of them are asymptomatic. A few of them present with vaginal bleeding, abdominal mass and compression symptoms.

4. Ovarian cysts and uterine cysts are completely different. Ovarian cysts refer to cyst-like masses on the ovaries, and the cause of the disease is not very clear. Ovarian cysts are a type of ovarian tumor, which may be benign or malignant. Therefore, after discovering an ovarian cyst, the first thing to do is to confirm whether it is benign or malignant.

5. It should be noted that sometimes the ovaries may show changes similar to cysts, but they are not cysts, such as polycystic ovaries, corpus luteum cysts, endometriosis in the ovaries, etc. Although these diseases will also cause lumps on the ovaries, they are different from ovarian cysts.

6. Experts say that cyst is a benign disease that can grow on the surface of the human body or in the internal organs. A cyst is a benign sac-like mass that grows in an organ in the body and its contents are liquid in nature. The cysts are mostly round in shape and protrude semicircularly from the skin surface. It is usually located in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. Because it is wrapped by the cyst wall, the edges are smooth and neat, with little adhesion to the surrounding tissues, so it feels smooth, elastic and cystic to the touch. The surface skin is mostly free of inflammation and has normal skin color. Generally, the development is limited and localized and will not expand indefinitely to cause local compression symptoms.
