What is the reason for heavy menstrual flow? Be careful of endocrine disorders

If the volume of a menstrual cycle exceeds 80 ml, it is excessive menstruation. There are many reasons for excessive menstruation. The most common ones are endocrine disorders and qi deficiency. Everyone should know the importance of timely regulating the endocrine system to make women healthier.

1. Female endocrine dysfunction. For example, some patients with anovulatory uterine bleeding have hypoplasia of the hypothalamus during adolescence, and a stable and regular regulation and feedback mechanism has not been established between the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis. As a result, although follicles develop in the ovaries, there is no ovulation and no corpus luteum formation. When the amount of estrogen is not enough to maintain the growth of the endometrium or suddenly drops, it can cause large pieces of endometrium to fall off and cause excessive menstrual bleeding.

2. Blood system diseases such as leukemia, thrombocytopenic purpura, etc. may also cause women to have heavy menstrual bleeding during menstruation.

3. Excessive menstrual bleeding caused by weak Qi. Some women have always had a weak constitution, or due to improper diet, or excessive fatigue, serious illness or long-term illness, their spleen is damaged, the Qi in the middle is insufficient, the Chong and Ren meridians are not solid, which leads to the loss of blood control and causes excessive menstrual bleeding.

4. Excessive menstrual bleeding caused by excessive blood heat. Women with a yang-dominant constitution, or who like to eat spicy and irritating foods, or who are affected by heat evil, or who are overly emotional and have depression that turns into fire, may suffer from blood heat that bypasses the Chong and Ren meridians, forcing blood to flow abnormally, resulting in excessive menstrual bleeding.

5. Heavy menstrual bleeding caused by blood stasis. Mental stimulation such as depression or excessive anger may cause blood stasis, or the residual blood or lochia after menstruation or childbirth may not be cleaned up, resulting in external stimulation. Or it may be caused by the inability to control sexual intercourse during menstruation, which may lead to blood stasis in the Chong and Ren meridians and blood not returning to the menstruation, resulting in heavy menstrual flow in women.
