The best abortion method for breastfeeding pregnancy, have you chosen the right one?

Many mothers do not pay enough attention to contraception after giving birth, and often experience pregnancy symptoms before the baby leaves the breastfeeding period. However, this needs to be taken seriously. Medical abortion may have an impact on the baby, so what is the best method?

Generally speaking, there are only two ways of abortion, one is surgical abortion and the other is medical abortion.

There are two types of abortions: general abortion and painless abortion. The difference between painless abortion and abortion is that painless abortion requires anesthesia (through intravenous medication) while general abortion does not require medication. In fact, the surgical methods of both are the same. So if the hospital recommends you to have a painless abortion, it is actually worse than a normal abortion, because the surgical process is the same and the risk of uterine perforation is also the same. Because medical abortion does not involve any surgical operation, the risk of uterine perforation is very low (even if the abortion is incomplete and uterine curettage is performed, the risk of perforation is lower than that of surgical abortion). However, you will have to take hormonal drugs for two or three days before and after the abortion, and you will also need to stop breastfeeding for a few days. So, you have to decide for yourself which method is better, as each method has its own advantages and disadvantages.

As for the best way to have an abortion during breastfeeding, it actually depends on the number of weeks of pregnancy. The best abortion method for breastfeeding within 7 weeks of pregnancy is medical abortion, and the best abortion method for breastfeeding within 10 weeks of pregnancy is surgical abortion. The best time for abortion is 6-8 weeks of pregnancy. If it is less than 5 weeks, the operation will be more difficult, and if it is more than 8 weeks, the damage to the uterus will be greater. It is recommended that you go to a regular hospital's gynecology department for treatment and choose an appropriate abortion method under the doctor's guidance based on the examination results.
