What are the causes of amenorrhea?

The problem of amenorrhea needs to be taken seriously by women, because if it is caused by disease, it can easily threaten reproductive health. For example, common diseases such as lower reproductive tract atresia and tuberculous endometritis may cause amenorrhea.

1. Atresia of the lower reproductive tract:

For example, there is congenital atresia in some parts of the cervix, vagina, hymen, labia, etc., or adhesive atresia caused by acquired damage. Although menstruation occurs, the menstrual blood cannot flow out. This condition is called hidden or pseudo-amenorrhea. Lower reproductive tract atresia can be completely cured with medical treatment.

2. Diseases:

It mainly includes wasting diseases, such as severe pulmonary tuberculosis, severe anemia, malnutrition, etc., unique endocrine diseases, such as "obesity reproductive incompetence malnutrition", etc.; the influence of some endocrine system disorders in the body, such as adrenal glands, thyroid glands, pancreas and other dysfunctions. The influence of these reasons may cause menstruation to stop. However, as long as the amenorrhea caused by these conditions is cured, menstruation will return naturally.

3. Tuberculous endometritis:

This is because tuberculosis bacteria invade the endometrium, causing inflammation of the endometrium and varying degrees of damage, eventually forming scar tissue and causing amenorrhea. Therefore, if you have tuberculous endometritis, you should treat it in time.

Can be delayed.

4. Pituitary gland or hypothalamus dysfunction :

The pituitary gland can secrete gonadotropin. Gonadotropin regulates ovarian function and maintains menstruation. If the pituitary gland is dysfunctional, it will affect the secretion of gonadotropin, which in turn affects the function of the ovaries.

Abnormal ovarian function can cause amenorrhea. In addition, abnormal hypothalamic function can also cause amenorrhea. Causes hypothalamic dysfunction

There are many reasons for coldness, such as mental stimulation, sadness and worry, fear and anxiety, tension and fatigue, as well as environmental changes and cold stimulation. Amenorrhea caused by the hypothalamus is more common.
