What causes wound to turn white?

The normal wound healing time is about two to three weeks. If the wound has not healed after three weeks or shows no signs of healing, it can be characterized as slow wound healing. The appearance of yellow-white necrotic tissue on the wound is the most common reason that affects wound healing. It is mostly caused by infection and inflammation due to improper wound treatment. After the wound occurs, it is best to use normal saline to rinse the wound, apply disinfectants such as iodine, and avoid getting the wound wet. However, if the wound forms a scab during the inflammatory response period, the exudate produced by the wound cannot flow out, which will cause the wound to further fester and ulcerate, and white necrotic tissue will appear. For patients with inflamed wounds, you can use normal saline to rinse the wound, apply iodine or take anti-inflammatory measures after rinsing. For patients with more serious infections, the pus in the wound needs to be cleaned. If yellow-white necrotic tissue appears in the wound, it needs to be removed with scissors and tweezers to expose the red flesh inside. Follow the doctor's instructions to promote the wound to heal as quickly as possible.

How to make wounds heal quickly:

The most important thing for wounds is to keep the wound area clean and avoid direct contact with your hands. In terms of diet, you should pay attention to eating less spicy food. Do not use strong irritating disinfectants such as hydrogen peroxide, iodine, alcohol, etc. to irritate the wound to avoid causing necrotic tissue in the wound.
