What is HPV virus infection

HPV is a viral infection, the full name is human papillomavirus infection. HPV virus is widely present in nature. Most people are infected only once and may be infected repeatedly. The body's own strong resistance will gradually be eliminated, and long-term sexual effects on the body will also cause many diseases. Depending on the different subtypes of HPV infection, it is divided into high-risk HPV infection and low-risk HPV infection. High-risk virus infection, such as HPV16 and HPV18, may cause cervical cancer if it affects the cervix for a long time, and vulvar cancer if it affects the private parts. Cervical cancer is the most common malignant tumor in women.

If HPV is positive and TCT test is positive during the cervical cancer screening process, further examination is required, and cervical resection and hysterectomy are required in serious cases. Low-risk viral infections such as HPV6 and HPV11 may cause genital warts, especially in patients with unclean marital life, who are more likely to develop genital warts.

HPV infection, also known as human papillomavirus infection, is a sexually transmitted disease. The most obvious feature of HPV virus infection is the appearance of papules of varying sizes in the early stages of infection, which are bright red or dark red in color. If not treated promptly, the condition will become serious, resulting in an increase in the number of papules and an increase in size. HPV virus infection foci mainly appear around the reproductive organs, such as the foreskin, glans penis and urethra of men, and the vulva, around the anus and labia majora and minora of women. Patients with such conditions should go to the hospital immediately to prevent the symptoms from worsening.

Viral infection is a process in which some viruses that can cause human diseases invade the body, invade cells, replicate and destroy cells. It may cause obvious clinical manifestations, such as influenza, which is a viral infection. It is also possible that these viruses are eliminated by the human immune system during the infection process and no longer cause clinical symptoms. The infection process is over. This is called latent infection and there are no clinical symptoms.
