Is it normal for a woman to not have her period for a month?

The biggest difference between female friends and male friends is that female friends have menstruation every month. Healthy female friends have basically very regular menstruation. Menstruation can show whether a female friend is healthy or not. It directly reflects the physical condition of a female friend. However, there are always unexpected situations. Some female friends will feel very worried if they don’t have menstruation for a month, and they are afraid that there is something wrong with their body. So is this normal?

For women who have had sexual experience, if menstruation is delayed, pregnancy should be ruled out first. If the menstruation is normal, you can use an early pregnancy test strip 7 days after the menstruation stops. It is best to choose morning urine because the HCG concentration in morning urine is higher. If two red bars appear in the observation area, it indicates pregnancy. If pregnancy is ruled out, it may be caused by irregular menstruation. The cause may be organic disease or functional disorder. Endocrine diseases, mental factors, gynecological inflammation (cervicitis, cervical erosion, endometritis, etc.), and taking emergency contraceptive pills can all cause menstrual disorders.

If the possibility of pregnancy is ruled out, the situation you described is initially considered to be irregular menstruation. Neuroendocrine disorders, environmental changes, stress, drugs, and some gynecological inflammations may all lead to irregular menstruation. Occasional irregular menstruation is also very common. If the irregular menstruation lasts for a long time, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital for examination to rule out the possibility of organic lesions.

If you are not pregnant, you may have amenorrhea. If a girl is over 18 and has not had her first menstruation yet, or an unmarried young woman has had normal menstruation but has stopped for more than 3 months, it is called amenorrhea. The former is called primary amenorrhea, and the latter is called secondary amenorrhea. One month is not enough to completely determine whether it is amenorrhea. You can go to the hospital for relevant examinations to confirm the diagnosis.

In fact, this is basically not normal. If your period was very regular every month before, and suddenly you don’t have your period for a month, you should pay attention to it. It may be a gynecological disease. You should go to the hospital for a check-up to see if you are pregnant. If you are pregnant, your period will not come. In short, female friends must pay attention to whether their menstruation is regular.
