What to do if a woman has itchy genitals and small bumps

Vulvar pruritus is a common disease. Many women have experienced this problem in life. Some vulvar pruritus can heal on its own, while other cases may be more serious infections that cannot heal on their own. Active treatment measures must be taken. In daily life, you should pay attention to the fact that fish, shrimp, pork head, chicken feet, etc. are all irritating foods and should not be eaten. If you eat them, the itching symptoms will worsen. Let’s take a look at some ways to relieve vulvar itching.

Pay attention to menstrual hygiene, keep the vulva clean and dry, and avoid scratching. Do not wash with hot water and avoid using soap. When there is an infection, potassium permanganate solution can be used for a sitz bath, but local scrubbing is strictly prohibited. Clothes, especially underwear, should be loose and breathable. Avoid alcohol and spicy or allergic foods. Eliminate local or systemic factors that cause itching, such as trichomoniasis, fungal infection, or diabetes.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that damp heat and yin deficiency and blood dryness are the main causes of female vulvar itching. From the perspective of holistic treatment, the onset of vulvar itching is also closely related to the liver, spleen, kidney and other internal organs in the body, and involves the Ren and Du meridians. Some are caused by damp-heat in the liver meridians and leucorrhea soaking the genitals; some are caused by liver-kidney yin deficiency, loss of essence and blood, and malnutrition of the vulva. Vulvar itching often occurs interchangeably with leucorrhea, and in severe cases, it may also be complicated by vulvar pain.

If vulvar itching occurs, first of all, you should pay attention to the cleanliness of the vulva, do not use soap to wash the vulva; try to restrain scratching and rubbing the affected area; avoid spicy food; be careful to avoid emotional depression and tension. If the symptoms still cannot be relieved, you should go to the hospital to find out the cause of the itching and treat it accordingly.

Friends with vulvar itching must pay attention to care. For example, the underwear they usually wear must be kept as clean as possible, and the underwear should be loose and soft. It is best to use cotton products as underwear and avoid using underwear made of chemical fibers. You should also pay attention to not smoking or drinking, not drinking strong tea, and not drinking strong coffee.
