Many people do not take menopause seriously, thinking that such a condition does not require any adjustment. But in fact, menopause is still a relatively serious matter. If it is not carefully adjusted, it may cause more serious complications or even lead to mental illness. Many female friends will develop mental illness at this time. This is because the emotions during this period are too unstable. If they are exposed to too much stimulation, it is likely to cause mental disorders.

⑴ Menopausal syndrome: The main characteristics are autonomic dysfunction and emotional disorders, manifested by paroxysmal hot flashes, sweating, anxiety, worry, fear, irritability or neurasthenia syndrome, and sexual dysfunction. Accompanied by physical discomfort such as limb numbness, edema, breast swelling, back pain, abdominal pain, etc.

⑵ Menopausal depression: In the early stages, there are often symptoms of menopausal syndrome. The main clinical manifestations are depression and slow thinking. In severe cases, there may be inferiority complex, self-blame, self-guilt and suicidal attempts or behaviors. It is often accompanied by obvious anxiety or acute anxiety attacks.

⑶ Menopausal paranoid state: Delusions such as jealousy, hypochondria, theft or victimization are common, and may be accompanied by hallucinations. The content of hallucinations and delusions is relatively fixed and affects the patient's emotions and behaviors, causing tension, anxiety, fear, anger, impulsivity, refusal to eat, or self-harm. However, it never affects the patient's contact with the environment and housework, and he or she often takes the initiative to express his or her inner experiences.

First, understand the health knowledge of menopause and realize that menopause is a normal physiological process. The symptoms are temporary and generally will resolve on their own after 1 to 2 years, so there is no need to worry.

Second, pay attention to the regularity of life, have a regular schedule, and combine work and rest. Prevent excessive workload and try to avoid excessive mental stimulation. At the same time, pay attention to physical exercise, regularly participate in cultural and sports activities, and adjust your life.

Third, have regular check-ups. If some symptoms of menopausal syndrome appear, in addition to using medication to alleviate the symptoms, necessary examinations should be carried out to rule out organic lesions in the body.

Therefore, when female friends develop mental illness, they will feel some paranoid delusions, and may even have hallucinations frequently. More serious patients will feel inferior and may even commit suicide. As relatives and friends, we must give them more care and communicate more with female friends so that they can open their hearts.
