When female friends suffer from gynecological diseases, they must not delay treatment because of embarrassment. Serious diseases are caused by minor illnesses that have not been treated for a long time. Today I will introduce to you how to treat bacterial vaginosis.

Bacterial vaginosis is caused by an imbalance of vaginal flora, and there are no inflammatory changes in clinical manifestations and pathological features. Patients without symptoms generally do not need to be treated for bacterial vaginosis, but treatment should be initiated before some gynecological surgeries. Patients with symptoms should receive prompt treatment. When treating bacterial vaginosis, one should first understand the cause of the dysbacteriosis. Clinical speculation is that it may be related to frequent sexual life, multiple sexual partners, unclean sexual life, vaginal douching, and inappropriate use of intravaginal medications. Anti-anaerobic drugs are often used to treat bacterial vaginosis, mainly metronidazole and clindamycin, and oral drug treatment has similar efficacy to topical drug treatment. Take metronidazole 200 mg orally three times a day for 7 days. Take clindamycin 300 mg orally, twice a day for 7 days. Metronidazole suppository 200 mg, vaginally, once a night for 7 days. In addition, some vaginal suppositories that maintain the acidic environment in the vagina can be used as auxiliary treatment. For some cases of vaginitis, sexual partners need to be treated at the same time, but for bacterial vaginosis, sexual partners do not need to be treated.

How should bacterial vaginosis be treated? After reading the above article, I believe you should have a general understanding of it. However, it is best to go to the hospital and let the doctor give you a detailed diagnosis. Another point to note is that sexual intercourse must be prohibited during treatment.
